Nicholas Milton Novels & Stories

Minutes later, Ichabod could hear a swift movement behind the shelves and out came a short man in a black tail coat and a large hat which made him look like all those wizards you see in movies like Harry Potter. “Ah! If it isn’t my old friend.” Johhny said cheerfully. “It has been a while since I last saw you. Are you having nightmares again?” “No.” Adams replied, “I would like you to meet someone.” He said, “this is Ichabod Nuel.” Johnny laid his eyes on Ichabod and scanned him from head to toe. A serious smile cracked upon his lips. “Ah. I can see you haven’t come alone young man.”

Even if Jerry covered this for him, it would still be a lot of trouble. Wilbur glanced at Nicholas. He smiled and said, "Tell him who you are, or he won't be able to rest in peace." "I'm the special commissioner of Seechertown's Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection. I came here just for you, Milton." Nicholas took out his ID card, waved it in front of Milton, and then calmly put it away.

He lived with his grandfather, Joseph Lachlan who was one of the richest men listed by Forbes. Nathaniel never talked much but always stood up against the bullies who targeted weak people. His one menacing look made the bullies question their existence. I sighed in relief when I saw my classroom from my peripheral vision. I almost jumped out of excitement becau- “Wait up Fatso, Where is my assignment, essay or whatever the hell you were supposed to complete? I turned around ready to be grilled. I saw Danika Williams and her minions. “I didn’t do it” I murmured looking down.

Nicholas continued working with Samuel at the bakery, perfecting his skills and finding a quiet satisfaction in the rhythm of baking. Early each morning, he would leave the cottage while Lillian was still asleep, walking through the misty streets of Port Haven to the bakery where Samuel awaited with a fresh pot of coffee. Together, they would knead dough, measure spices, and shape loaves, the simple tasks grounding Nicholas in a way he hadn’t known he needed.

"And he likes you, apparently." I'm not sure why, although Hale is known for being unpredictable. Larsen grins, flashing his perfect white teeth. "Because we are both tortured souls. How about you?" "Doesn't matter. I need sleep," I sigh. Tonight, I don't want to be entertaining a powerful Noble. I start toward my bedroom, wanting nothing more than to crawl under the covers and bundle up away from all these overwhelming men. "Death is a strange concept for me, as an outsider. Mortals die, they serve a sentence in another Realm ran by a tyrant immortal pureblood, and then emerge here, in the immortal realm where they can live out a long existence until their eventual death."

That four-letter word was caught in my throat, refusing to come out. “ Shh, don’t say that. He’s okay. He’ll be okay. “ No matter how soothing and encouraging her words were, a part of my brain thought the worst thought possible. The pain in my chest had only gotten more intense by the second. I pulled away from her and wiped my tears. I needed to have faith. He was Nikolai, the youngest self-made Don to ever walk this earth. He was okay, he had to be. The door opened and Lily came in. She looked between the two of us and her expression softened when she saw my red eyes.

Charlotte Hayes’ POV My mind was racing with questions. But I can't be afraid in front of this man. "Who knows?" I said, still smiling. I chuckled, causing Luca to smile slightly. He looked at me for a split second before bowing and said elegantly, "Well then. Milady, follow me." We were walking down the spacious hallways, greeted by various paintings as we passed.

And soon we came up upon the elders gathering. "Go in, they're aware of your presence." The attendant ushered me in. The twelve elders were seated at their thrones, carved above the ground overlooking their subjects. Their faces hidden with hooded robes. It was said that an Alpha had the power over a pack, and the elders were the kingmakers. Self righteous pricks that they were. "Nikolai Rydor," The first elder announced my entrance begrudgingly. "It's ALPHA Nikolai to you." I took a seat.

Elena’s Point Of View The sight of Nicholas sitting in his office, head bowed under the weight of his collapsing empire, was a sight I hadn’t prepared myself for. He looked… defeated. The Nicholas I had known was untouchable, a force of nature that commanded respect and fear. But now, he seemed fragile, human.

Nicholas’ pack was a well-trained machine, picking off Jacob’s wolves one after another. Jacob jumped at me when I had my back turned, still trying to kill me. I felt his claws down my back and turned to face him. Nicholas came running through the trees and jumped on Jacob. I staggered back and let Nicholas have fun with him. I had promised to let Nicholas kill Jacob. He was the Alpha of his pack, and he could not look weak by letting a vampire or another wolf kill the Alpha with whom he had gone to war. The energy surge I had felt from drinking Jacob’s blood was wearing off as I continued to fight.
