All Night had heard his entire life was that he was going through a ‘phase’ and that he needed to ‘fix’ himself. But now that it was time for me to face reality and tell my parents about the truth…I could tell how difficult it was going to be and how much courage it must have taken Night to open up to who he was.

The people we had dinner with have already left including my father and his personal assistant. "I am not in the mood to go to sleep tonight." My friends left, when they saw me with my brows furrowed deep in a frown. No one talks to me in this atmosphere except for Maleficus, thanks to my father he just turned this evening sleepless for me. "Do you want to hear the love story of an Alpha and his mate?" I raise one brow but didn't make him stop talking I'm not a boy who would fall deep asleep with his stories anymore.

This night was the right time for them to get to know how they were all borne and brought together to become siblings of the same woman Thelma. The time now was forty five minutes past the hand of nine 9:45pm, they waiting patiently like the dog who awaits a bone from its owner. At the other hand i was scared of telling this story to my children because i knew how humans could be, this maybe the last time i may have to call them my children... Damian nodded. “Since they couldn’t go after the big wolves at night, they summoned the undead to do their bidding. To steal children, to spread fear, to weaken the packs from the inside.” He paused again, his gaze drifting toward the window. “That’s what the bedtime story was. Go to sleep early, or the mage’s undead will snatch you from your bed.” I stayed quiet, still processing, and he added, “But it’s just a story.”

After a few seconds of counting sheep, I fade. into my subconscious, gradually.

I groaned in mortification as mum was telling a story about how we got scared during one Halloween night of our childhood. "Please go on." Kami said laughing hard as she held her stomach. Mum just ignored us pleading and began a new story. Sharing stories late into the night, Zoe also told stories about she and Kamila's life in highschool and growing. We finally decided to go in around 10pm. Kami stripped down to her bikini and fell fast asleep immediately her body touched the soft silky fabric of the bed. We joined her and also fell asleep on either sides caging her between our arms.

Max asked and looked around the room. “The adults seem to be having fun.” Nora replied as she watched the couples dancing in the middle of the room, they were all adults. “Probably because it was hosted by middle-aged couples.” Max added and they all chuckled except Axel. “Lily, what is with that book? You have been holding on to it all night.” Nora said and Lily held the book to herself firmly. “Yeah, it's nothing.” She replied and Nora furrowed her brows. Lily isn't the type to hide something.

I held her tight with my head buried in her Bosom. “But it's so scary at night, and the demons come out at night, too." I had said. I could not understand how grown-ups could be so calm at that darkest hour. Maybe that's why they were adults. “I know, dear, but do you know who else comes out at night?." She asked. I raised my head and looked at her. “Who?" I whispered. My mother smiled and pointed to the moon. I was baffled. “The moon?" It made no sense to me.

It was a quarter to nine o’clock. Usually by this time I would either be in bed with Neo to tell him a good night story or pushing him to quickly wash up so he could go to bed during days he would overplay sometimes. Right now though, I was all alone on his bed, holding the last book I was telling him the story of, and trying my best not to have another god-awful breakdown. Safe to say, I was doing fairly terribly at it.
