Cadence felt it now, now that it had been pointed out to her like a set of fangs glistening in the moonlight. Lena gasped and covered her mouth with both hands. She hadn’t really been able to see Bonnie out in the foyer. The adult Vampire dropped to her knees near where Bonnie was playing. “Hi there, precious,” she said quietly, Southern sweetness dripping from each word. “How are you?” “Fine,” Bonnie said, cautiously, eyeing the stranger. “Well, you sure are a pretty girl. My name is Lena. What’s your name?” “Bonnie.” She twisted from side to side slightly as she answered.

My brows drew together in confusion, “That can’t be.” Following the tracker out of the alleyway, pulsating electronic music roaring from the stadium in front of me. I almost drop my phone, icy trepidation shooting down my spine and coating my skin in goosebumps while dread seeped into my stomach when the announcer shouted, “FIGHT TO THE DEATH!” Nightwolf was a fighting arena….and Bonnie was in there.

Marcus asked again, "If you like it, I can give you many, many more." "What…what did you call me just now?" Bonnie asked. "Bonnie," Marcus said again. "How…how did you know? No, no, no, I'm not Bonnie. I'm not…who is Bonnie? I don't know her. Is she that damned Mila's sister? You…Marcus, what are you talking about?" Bonnie was so frightened that her soul had left her body.

He shouted, "Pretty ladies, it's me, open the door" Bonnie who was soundly snoring inside was woken up by the sound of the door banging. In a haze, she got out of bed and went to open the door. "Pretty Lady, it's me hurry up and open the door" Just as Noah slammed the door harder, it was pulled opened from the inside. The little fellows hands stopped in the air as he stared at Bonnie who was dressed in a nightwear and had a curvy body. Bonnie opened tbe door, covering her mouth with her hand as she opened the door. When she gazed at the little thing under her sleepy eyes, she immediately woke up.

I was someone who suffered from nightmares, but paradoxically, the darkness here, was calming. I dragged my feet towards his bed and that’s when I saw the frame on his nightstand, next to a Bible. This man owned a Bible? My curiosity fully took over from this moment. I flipped it open. Maxine Jackson. I frowned a closed it. Who was she? My eyes slid back to the frame and I picked it up. It was a picture of a young woman, probably in her early thirties. She had thick black hair and blue eyes. Alexander’s eyes were a dark grey, but the resemblance was uncanny. This was his mother and that Bible perhaps, was hers.

“That was the plan. But they just told me they’re leaving for a business trip and won’t be back for at least a month. So… they asked if we could do it tomorrow.” I stared at him, heartbeat loud in my ears. “And how exactly do we fit into this?” Arnold asked, nodding between him and me. “I figured,” Aiden continued, “that since it’s so last-minute, Nova might be nervous. So I asked if some friends could tag along. My mom said it was fine.” He smiled shyly. Okay… that was slightly less terrifying. If I wasn’t alone, maybe I could survive it. They were just people after all. A very rich man and woman, but still. Who even meets at a golf course though? Rich people, apparently.

He was supposed to be the Nightmare Master’s loyal dog who would kill anyone who went near him. Of course, he wasn't actually loyal, just doing as he was told so that his family wouldn't suffer the consequences.
