Valentine's Nightmare

Valentine's Nightmare

Once that was no longer the case, he could date whoever he wanted, and I couldn't care less. It was a pity Samuel didn't notice that. He was still banging on the door. I shook my head, put in my earplugs, and went to sleep. It was getting late, and the sleepy bug was catching up to me. Samuel finally ran out of steam about fifteen minutes later, giving the door one final thump in frustration. "You did this first, Noelle. Don't you ever regret this!" Threats wouldn't work on me. I was no longer a kid. I closed my eyes and slept. The next day, I met up with my attorney and served him the papers. I received no response, but I was sure he saw them.

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

Tales of the Moonlit Grimoire

Feeling the weight of fatigue, I turned to Faghri, my eyelids heavy and drooping. "Faghri, I'm really tired," I murmured, my voice carrying the innocence of a child seeking comfort from a parent. "Get some rest...tomorrow will be a busy day," Faghri replied, gently reminding me of our plans to continue searching for Rafe. I nodded, my eyes fluttering shut. But just as I was drifting off, I suddenly found myself enveloped in a mysterious black dimension. "Damn, am I going to run into Diabolos again?" I wondered anxiously, thinking of the vicious werewolf. This unexpected twist added another layer of complexity to an already complicated and challenging situation.

Fairy-Struck

Fairy-Struck

I looked away quickly; knowing better than to catch his interest. Black furred pukas roamed freely about, sniffing for scraps around the tables, and when one passed by me, I jerked away. It paused to growl a warning in my direction before moving on. Then a nuckelavee sauntered by, and I forgot all about the pukas. Outside the members of the Sluagh, the nuckelavee were the most horrifying things in the Fairy Realm. Technically, they were sea fairies and they were always a little wet, though not from water.

The Billionaire's Nanny

The Billionaire's Nanny

I said carefully, weighing my words, "you know they are a little frequent." "Nah," he laughed, brushing it with his hands, "I had nightmares of a fairy with beards until I was almost 10 years old." "Faries with beards?" I turned to him in amusement. "My sister watched almost every animation about fairies there are on the planet. Robin and I got sick of them and one thing led to another, my subconscious and tired mind would always picture a fairy with a beard whenever I was scared at night and it was a perfect recipe for a nightmare. It's generic within our family."

Sensual Encounters

Sensual Encounters

It made no sense. I pulled up to the house. Nathan came in yesterday. It was nearly two in the morning, and Nathan should have been asleep or at least trying to sleep. I parked the car in the garage. I saw the night nurse, Zora, on the phone. She looked up from her phone, wide eyed. “Oh, dear God! There you are. Did you get my texts? I’d been texting you for an hour!” I looked at my phone. There had been a dozen texts from her. I hadn’t been able to see them with my phone locked away in the club. “I’m sorry, I wasn’t able to get to my phone. What is it?”

The Pack's Dragon

The Pack's Dragon

“Of course. Of course. I suppose there are witches and fairies, and… I don’t know.” “Dragons,” Niarthen supplied. “Though they are all but extinct.” “Hmm, I imagine they are, as it would be hard to hide a dragon,” she agreed, her eyes on the road before her. It felt unreal to be having a conversation with a merman about dragons, werewolves, and vampires whilst driving alongside a flooded river away from religious fanatics. “I think I read a book about this once,” she realized. Maybe it was all a strange dream. Maybe she’d had an accident at the cottage and had knocked herself out, or was sick and having a fever dream…
