The darkness of the White Mountain was illuminated with the little shadow of the moon, dark clouds covered the horizon and only the unforgiving gale of winter was their companion. Fairy Knight Henry heard them from the darkness of the trees, and as he approached, he saw the outlines of the warriors and the young legendary Prenah in the shimmering moonlight. He came down upon the warriors with the fury of the feral knight. His sword flashed in the light of the pale, heavenly orb. Their blood reached the ground before a scream could even pass their lips, and in an instant, he stood alone with the young fairy, and the bodies of his men littered at his feet.

Carina solemnly said. "Are you worried about Lona's warning?" "Uhuh. I also keep getting nightmares these days." She closes her eyes. The vivid images of her nightmares flashed by her mind. A dark and tall shadow is creeping out from under her bed. It's slowly approached her with a wide grin on its smoldered face. Its nails are long and sharp. Carina trembled in fright as she remembers its dangerous glints, full of vengeance and malice towards her. That shadow tried to touch her stomach while cackling boisterous laughter. Its laughter resounding in her dim-lit room, and Carina jolted up from her sleep, screaming in horror and fear.

Beckett snapped his fingers and a large mirror, the one from their rooms Bailey realized with a flush, appeared in the corner. She stood and approached it. The person staring back at her still had her face. Higher cheekbones, maybe, but instead of her blue-green eyes she now had slightly slanted gray ones. She moved closer. Around her pupil was a sunburst of citrine. It bled seamlessly into the gray, to be finished with a thick ring of jet black at the edge of her iris. Tri-colored eyes. The eyes of a full-blooded fae.

The lake was referred to as the path that was between the two realms – Half a Step into the Nightmare Realm. But even the talented could fail in their journey. The boat had to be able to cross the entire distance, and not give up halfway. That was how being Half a Step into the Nightmare Realm was. It didn’t necessarily guarantee that a person would become a Nightmare. In fact, only 5% of people Half a Step into the Nightmare Realm actually became Nightmares! This was because being Half a Step into the Nightmare Realm was the greatest test for a person. Once a person failed that test, he/she would fall back into the Predator Realm.

I’m more of a psychological terror.” Many people don’t like others digging around in their head. “You, my dear, seem to be the girl we’ve been looking for, for quite some time. The girl who can see one’s nightmares.” Zayne stares right at me. He makes his attention on me very clear. “The same girl that can banish and summon demons, immune to their foulness.”

They enticed me with this nightmare so they just have to be ready. It is now pay-back time.

It was funny how she was from the forest of damnation, no that was wrong. The fairy mother was the mother of all things that lived in the forest. The forest was her body, everything growing from one root. Because of the dense mana her body emitted, monsters, mythical creatures, and fairies flocked to the forest, turning it into their habitat.
