Queens and Monsters

Queens and Monsters

Jasmine "We all are monsters," Rei replied. "It’s how we live another day and how we can live with ourselves when we finally sleep. You’re not unaccustomed to monsters. You’ve lived with one for most of your life.” Reinaldo laid his arm on the top of the booth behind me. “I’ve been thinking about last night.” Warmth filled my cheeks as I released the stem of my glass. “Me too.” “Now that we’ve been formally introduced, I’d like to get to know you better.”

Owned by Three Monsters

Owned by Three Monsters

"They think it's funny because of my name. It’s just a joke." "Stay away from them, Rose.” He grabbed my arm, his grip surprisingly strong. “Do you hear me? Those men... they aren't businessmen. They’re monsters. They’re dangerous." "I know, Dad," I whispered, tears stinging my eyes. "I know." But as I drove, all I could feel was the pulsing ache between my legs. I was terrified of them, but God, I was already craving the way they took me. I was a couple of days away from being their captive, and I was already drowning in the need for their touch.

The Mates of Monsters

The Mates of Monsters

I repeat, tasting the word on my tongue. "We are monsters, aren't we?" Nicodra asks deviously. "Yes, we sleep in beds and bathe in showers, eat with forks and knives—cooked foods—but we're beasts. I had heard that a woman of your pack killed her mate. Bizarre, isn't it?" "Tragic, I think," I answer. "I can't lie, it's been on my mind. Horrible, terrible thing." David says, "We're choosing to move on from the incident."

Ceejay Ramirez
This is a very good book and can be part of my Recommended List. And for readers like me who like to read reviews first before deciding if they will read the book, this is NOT your TYPICAL werewolf story if you’re like me who loves reading them. BUT it’s very worthy tackling the true concept of MATE
Gabbalaba
What a delight! Well-written, this story is an expression of the authors maturity in writing and in story telling. Internal dialogue and conflict of our main is the whole story, the tone slightly heavy. Great feminist lead, who has her cake and eats it too! Also the Alpha is pretty great too.

DEMONice

DEMONice

He looked at me in shock and I could see the fear in his eyes when he looked at my arm. "Demon." I heard him say before running away from my room. I just asked why he seems to be scared. Who is the demon? Me? What is a demon by the way? Then when I got dressed I went out of the room and went to the kitchen, I saw a knife fall to the floor so I took it but I immediately let it go and closed my eyes because I saw something in my mind again. I saw the face of my mom and the girl with the horns again, mom was holding a knife and stabbed that girl with the horns, the girl did not know because she was sleeping.

The monster's fated prey

The monster's fated prey

I looked up and my stomach dropped. Aziel Nightbane. The monster himself. His golden eyes burned down at me with pure hate. Up close he smelled like blood and smoke and something darker that made my wolf stir. “Who are you running from boy?” he growled. His voice was low and rough like gravel under boots. His grip tightened on my arm hard enough to bruise. I gasped for air and forced words out even though my throat felt tight. “Please. I am nothing. Just a slave omega. Let me go and I will disappear. You will never see me again I swear it.”

My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce

My Reborn Apocalypse Begins with a Divorce

Her upper and lower teeth were chattering uncontrollably. This person… thing before her… was a monster! How could a human possibly fight a monster? And why did such a monster even exist? The apocalypse was already bad enough—why did monsters have to appear too? "What exactly are you?" Christina roared, summoning the last of her courage. Number 114 thought for a moment. "I am… a monster your dad created." "Ah—!" Christina screamed as the woman plunged a fruit knife into her body, pushing it in inch by inch. The pain made tears stream down her face.

The Reaper's Pet

The Reaper's Pet

“Because of this – please pay close attention to what I am about to tell you – because of this, I claimed the lives of all the people dear to you, one by one, for the singularly evil purpose of making you feel alone. “Oriana, I… am… a monster.” Based on Rina’s reaction, there’s little assurance that the truth is sinking in. But the whole thing’s like a dream working deep down on a subliminal level. She might not fully understand when she surfaces out of the experience but the idea’s already implanted in her consciousness. A proof of this is the single drop of tear that rolls smoothly, flawlessly down her marble cheek. Someone cries in their sleep in a similar way.

Model Son, Monster Father

Model Son, Monster Father

Nicky had done far worse than just bite me. I looked up and coldly stared at her. "You people are really made for each other." "What's that supposed to mean?" she snapped. "You know what it means," I said, standing up to jab my finger in her shoulder. "You're a monster who beat up my wife so badly that she was critically wounded." Then, I whipped my shaking finger around to point at Nicky. "And as for you, you're a little monster who flushed my wife's ashes down the toilet!"

The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters

The Savage Luna and Her Six Obsessive Monsters

I stopped and closed my eyes and then counted to three because Goddess saved me…today was NOT the day. Behind us stood a group of three boys I’d never seen before. Probably new recruits, their leader had that dumb arrogance that screamed my parents paid for my uniform. “What did you call us?” Abigail asked sweetly, too sweetly. He smirked, flicked his hair like he thought he was in a shampoo commercial. “Relax. I’m only saying what everyone else knows. Monster. Mermaid reject. And whatever the hell she is.” He pointed at Inara who gasped like he slapped her soul.

Broken Vows, New Promises

Broken Vows, New Promises

“This is Prime. The original template. Before Daemon. Before the failures. Built not just to survive—but to inherit.” Kira narrowed her eyes. “Inherit what?” “Everything,” Monroe said. “He is designed to absorb all known neural patterns—yours, Damien. And everyone connected to you. Every memory, every impulse. A perfected amalgam.” Damien’s stomach turned. “You created a god.” “No,” Monroe whispered. “I created a mirror. And when he wakes, he will reflect not what you are—but what you could’ve been.” Aurora stepped forward. “You mean to replace Damien with this thing?”
