They were rogues. Rogues are wolves who don’t belong to any pack. They have no Alpha, no laws, and no training. Most times, rogues are dangerous. They live in the wild and fight to survive. They don’t know peace or order and some of them go crazy over time because they don’t have a pack bond to keep them stable. These ones in front of me, from the way they looked, they looked like they had lost their minds a long time ago. I stepped back slowly, pulling Seraya behind me. My hand gripped her wrist tightly as we both moved back together.

’ Nisha sounded as though she was going to teach him another lesson, but she got distracted by four wolves lunging towards her simultaneously. Nisha sprang into action, executing a graceful spin as she swiped the ankles of one wolf and seized another, dragging them along as she twirled. Just as she was poised to strike at the second wolf's throat, it let out a yelp and adopted a submissive posture. Nisha swiftly turned her attention to the remaining three wolves, nipping at their legs and targeting their throats. In the midst of the skirmish, Zayyan pounced on one while another rogue wolf charged at the third. Nisha lunged towards the final wolf.

The man shrieked in pain and tried to fight them off, but they just kept biting harder. Charlie, please get here, Lia prayed silently. No sooner had the words echoed in her head than a man came running up the sidewalk like his ass was on fire. "Holy shit," he swore as he saw the two wolves. "Help me," the man screamed. "Get these beasts off of me. I'm bleeding."

He growls low at me and throws us on our back, >Kaeden is our MATE - mate special< he throws back at me. We quickly jump up and stare in the direction of no man’s land. A group of rogue wolves no less than five, one male, two females and each female has a pup walking beside them. Cyro growls, gaining their attention. The group looks over in shock at Cyro and quickly makes a get-away.

The man was steaming, his hands curled into a fist. "Make that 16." The wolves were growling so loudly that I wasn't sure if that was what he said. Two wolves came at Alastor from opposite sides. The reddish one was locked on Alastor's throat, the silver one was looking at me. I swallowed the lump in my throat. Alastor lunged for the red one, exposing me. I heard snapping behind me, but all I could see was the silver wolf prowling toward me. But before he could make his move, Alastor wrapped his jaws around his neck and slammed down so hard that his head disconnected from his body. Bile swirled in my stomach and I started to feel nauseated when I watched the head roll away and the body crump

I shook my head at that thought, not wanting to think about that. I just wanted to find him. Kane agreed that he would stay back to not create any confusion for the coven as it was pretty unheard of for vampires and wolves to work together. I knew that Kane was technically my pack's enemy, but I didn't care and he didn't seem to harbor any ill-will towards werewolves like his brethren. Taking a deep breath, I gave a small nod to Jaxon as we slipped out of the car. He took my hand as I stepped around the car and came to his side.

Either way this is going to be intense. As Jinx’s paws pad along the smooth surface of the path, a movement catches my eye, alerting me to a sandy coloured wolf approaching at speed. Jinx runs at him, mouth ready to attack before he attacks us. Jinx sinks his teeth deep into the flank of the wolf, as he jumps at him, breaking through the flesh easily. A whimper from the wolf tells me he is unlikely to be getting back up anytime soon, but Jinx moves to his neck and clamps down, jerking awkwardly to snap it, ensuring another of our enemy was ended.

Luka hesitated for only a second before saying, “A rogue attack. South border.” A chill ran down Willow’s spine. Theo’s expression darkened. “How many?” Luka shook his head. “At least ten. They came fast, didn’t get past the first perimeter. No deaths, but two of our wolves are injured.” Nova bristled inside Willow’s mind. Ten? That’s not just a few rogues wandering too close—that’s coordinated. Willow glanced at Theo, but he was already shifting, Atlas taking over in a blink. Willow followed without hesitation, and together they ran.

Silence followed—thick, deliberate, terrifying. I scrambled backward, breath coming in sharp gasps as shadows emerged between the trees. Yellow eyes. Gray fur streaked with blood. Wolves bigger than anything I had ever seen, but unlike the alpha this is average which only means the grey wolf is Alpha's beta Manuel. Their muscles coiling beneath their skin, teeth bared. My back hit a tree, nowhere left to go. I pressed myself against the bark, shaking so hard my teeth rattled. My legs refused to move. One of them stepped forward, massive and scarred, his eyes burning with recognition.

About twenty meters away I spot them, or more to the point I spot him. Clayton Blackridge Alpha of the Lobo Sombra pack in his huge gun metal grey wolf. Standing to his right is a brown and grey wolf slightly smaller in height and not as muscular, possibly his Beta. My wolf starts stalking towards them and even though I am protesting she wants him. As I get closer he shifts back then the other wolf turns I realise he is giving us some privacy.
