I slid it free carefully, my fingers trembling as I unfolded it. At first, the words didn’t make sense. They were written in a language I couldn’t read, the letters jagged and alien. But then my eyes fell on a single phrase written in bold, clear script at the bottom of the page: *"Not human."* I stared at the words, my breath hitching. What did that mean? It could be about Lucifer, of course he is not human. The page seemed to blur before my eyes as the weight of the words sank in. It couldn’t be true. I was human—I’d always been human.

Because this time— it’s not a creature. It’s human. And somehow— that’s even worse.

Instead, it smiled and said, “Amazing. You managed to exert such a powerful force and break my defenses even in such a terrible state.” While speaking, the golden puppet warrior’s energy leaked into the surroundings, and its body slowly faded. Soon, it had vanished entirely, and a golden book appeared. The book fell from the sky and landed directly in front of James. “I did it!” James sighed in relief. He forcibly sat up, picked up the golden book, and excitedly examined it. The cover had a few primitive inscriptions belonging to the Dark World’s Human Race engraved on it. Being proficient in the Human Race’s primitive inscriptions, James immediately recognized the words.

But on the lower shelf, pushed toward the back like something filed away rather than stored, I found it. No title on the spine. I pulled it free and opened the cover. “ A Complete Record of the Human Management System as Established by the Wolf Council in the Third Year Following the Great War’s Cessation,” I read out loud to myself. Great War. The same war, Mye had mentioned. I carried the book to the chair by the dead fireplace and sat down. The first section was bureaucratic—council minutes, resource allocations, the dry language of people building something terrible and calling it policy. I moved through it quickly, scanning for substance.

I head in her direction, fully aware of the ridiculous smile on my face as she traces me head to toe with her own eyes. 'Look all you want, sweetheart. I'm all yours.' I think to myself. I lengthen my strides to get to her quicker when she gets the most adorable, confused look on her face. Does she not smell me? Surely she knows I'm her mate. Maybe she didn't want a mate. I get closer to her and inhale deeper. Then stop in my tracks. She's human. "Ah, fuck!" I mutter.

From the moment I took it, I was attacked, partially traumatized and thrown into election activities before being threatened and subjected to those assholes at lunch. Not a moment was given to even wonder about its contents, but now I can. I find the perfect and least populated area far in the back, behind heaps of shelves in a section least explored. The thick red book weighs heavily in my hands while I sit on the floor, folding my legs to myself and rubbing my palms together with anticipation. I either realize there’s nothing special about it, or that the words really do change. I pull the book open and the same page opens itself up to me, almost automatically, revealing the image of the w

Red said. "Exactly!" ADAM_ "What's this... there's a lock on the book?," Though I'm not the strongest but at least I am stronger than a normal human. I clawed the lock and it fell. Parting the book open, I almost gasped when I saw a bottle in it.. The book doesn't even have pages! "Wow..."I quickly took the small bottle. I slid it in my back pocket. After I closed the book, I returned it back to its original position. As I made to leave, I heard someone speak.

I spun around going through all universes and landed on the universe I knew it was reporting on. "It looks like the universe of wild life no longer exists." I stated as I looked at the universes map that was now completely grey and lifeless. In a few hundred years all wildlife would be gone forever and all humans would suffer. They would never understand or be able to fix their problems. I looked back down at the next page and sliced through it. I didn't even have to look up at the screen that was going off now. The universe of empathy and humanity. How ironic is it that the second page is a universe that helps fuel all hope in mortal realms. How fitting.

“A mere human will never have the chance to step in the heaven. Only Angel’s have the right to be there. He asked what should he do. They answered, be an angel. Then you can be here. But to be an angel, you have to turn your back in being a human. Can’t he be both? The angels shook their head. ‘Will you let me see her just for the last time?’ he asked. They didn’t respond. The spirit who help him is the spirit of human. He don’t have the courage to turn his back in being a human. With that, he give up his love. Looking at the sky on where his only love is, he smiled bitterly. He can’t be with her, he can’t be with his one love. Sadly staring at the sky, he heard a sound of an object hitt
