Northbound Elf Book Novels & Stories

--- The next morning, Elara returned to the library. She was determined to find an answer. She would not give up. She could not give up. The future was too important. Her pack was too important. She found a text tucked away in a dusty corner, its pages yellowed with age. It was bound in leather so old it was cracked and crumbling. She carefully opened it, her fingers gentle on the fragile pages. It was written in an ancient language, the words faded and difficult to read. But as she studied it, she realized it was a record of the First Wolf's life, a chronicle of his creation and his power. It was the most complete account she had ever seen.

"What have we here? Travellers trying to avoid the proper channels?" Three figures emerged from behind the silver birches. The speaker was an elf, tall and lean with the predatory grace of his kind, followed by two trolls. "Kael's Web," the elf continued with a theatrical bow, "at your service. We specialize in... relieving travellers of their burdens before they can trouble the good folk of Eldoria." "Bandits," Madeleine breathed, her hand instinctively reaching for her sword. "Entrepreneurs," the elf corrected with a sharp smile. "This little back door has been quite profitable. Amazing how many people think they're clever, sneaking through the old passages." His eyes glittered with cruel

"I think I have found something, which will help us move forward." She picked up another book which she had brought from the shelves, but it was definitely not anything the mortal lands had ever seen. The gold cover of the book was encrusted with precious stones, and the pages were as soft as feathers, and as white as a dove. Aelanor was sure it was surely dove feathers pressed in the form of pages. Nimuel picked them up softly with her fingers, and turned a few pages. "It says here that the elven lands stretch for a few empires, due West, where The Realm of the Shadows starts" she looked up.

Orin was clearly teasing, and she marveled at his ability to chuckle and maintain a light mood in the face of the battle before them. “My powers aren’t that strong yet.” “Give it time, baby. Once you go elf, you’ll really feel the magic deep inside.” He gave her a lascivious wink. In spite of herself, North giggled, but quickly returned her attention to the battle that was shaping up. Those who weren’t shielded by her fire shield had clearly created their own, except Eli. He’d shifted to a large wolf and had jumped away from the lightning bolts. He’d landed on one of the shorter creatures and now ripped mercilessly at its throat. Whatever it was, its magic and identity would remain shielded,

She tried not to sound so harsh, “They’re just bastards who like to play with humans’ lives.” Zed didn’t say anything back, but he also understood Sierra’s words. Then, he went to Gray, probably asking the same thing about the kid’s god. For an old elf, Zed was really odd. As the army reached the north border once again, the elves were chanting their spells that apparently could neutralize the Earth True Blessing. With their help, the army didn’t find any difficulties and they marched forward for days until they finally reached Kingdom of Bealaris.

Elara sat back down, her tail wagably content. "You're getting good at this," Fenris murmured, reaching for her hand. "She’s just so easy to poke," Elara admitted. "But Silas... about that book." Silas sighed, sliding the leather-bound volume across the table. "It was in the 'Discarded' pile in the archives. It’s a centuries-old collection of patterns from the Great Weavers of the North. They say the last Luna used to knit charms into the garments to keep the hunters warm."

No struggle, Elfey died. "Throw her body into the River of Abss, give Hauel to Zelik. In case he asked about his wife, let him tell him she died in the hands of Ruthless. You know what to do mother." "Yes son." Staring into the River of Abss, Lord Daniel breathed deeply. Elfey has forgotten, he is no ordinary Nilela. He disappeared, going into the Realm of the gods.

Most of the pages in the front were smudged too terribly to read anything but once it became legible, I started to shake with happiness. It was a story book! Eagerly I began reading the first story that wasn't destroyed. MY mouth dropped open in wonder at this finding. It was a shadow elf storybook, and a very old one. Page after page I flipped through the words absorbing every word that I could. The stories were full of ghastly creatures similar to the ghoulcat and the heroes of ancient Gwathendor who fought them. And their lady loves that they saved along the way. Soon enough I was hunched over the bed with the little book in my lap and my head in the clouds.
