She was the best and only mate I would have and no one else. As I finished my speech which was longer than anyone else. We were ready to bury her so she became one with the earth. But before we could do that, an unknown woman walked into the funeral room, “What are you guys doing?“ The woman asked in a confused tone. “Sorry, we are not seeing anyone today, we're having a funeral for the Luna.” A fellow warrior said. “Funeral?... for who?“ She questioned “Our Luna, Jackqualine Moon” Jacob answered.

Cynthia explains. I hum, "hmm, just seem to me that perhaps we should be celebrating a Moon festival instead of the Sun's, but hey when in Rome." Leah looks at me,"Luna, that's a wonderful idea, we should celebrate the Moon as well," her eye widen as she looks at me and Cynthia, "when is the moon fesitval anyway?"

I do the same and we join hands. “Crescent Moon, I give you your Luna!”

The kitchen staff set up a table of sub sandwiches,with a dozen or so different types of chips and an assortment of desserts. Voices quiet as I walk past. When I reach the stairs of the cedar gazebo, I turn to face my pack and clear my throat. “Good Evening, all! I’m glad to see that even with members off at Copper Summit tonight, we still have a good group for our own run and festival. I know that this is our first supermoon without our Luna Lyra and it's my first time leading a lunar lap since. I apologize to you for not being here for the last two runs.” I pause drawing in a deep breath.

But my solitude was interrupted by a visitor. The Luna appeared next to me, sitting down without a sound. I was surprised but not frightened. She greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. Peering over the hill, listening in from afar with my heightened hearing, the Luna was announced on stage. ‘Another glorious full moon for us to enrich our souls, my brothers, sisters, and children of the pack! We thank the Moon Goddess for graciously allowing us this night to be one with our wolves. As each month hits, we’re still striving to find a cure for the poison that cursed our people, so one day we may be free to be our true selves once again.’ Everyone clapped and some cheered.

In the tranquil night, Luna and Daniel found solace in knowing that, together, they could face anything life threw at them. Under the moonlit sky, the gentle waves playing a melody in the background, Luna snuggled closer to Daniel. The ambiance was serene, a stark contrast to the tumultuous plans being concocted by Mary and Natalie. "I can't believe we're celebrating six months of our love already, it was like it just started yesterday only" Luna whispered, tracing circles on Daniel's chest. "And many more to come, we will be together forever" Daniel replied, his fingers gently playing with her hair.
