I glanced at my phone, where he had already called me five times, but I ignored the calls since I was with Sophie, who strangely hadn’t yet brought up the conversation of this morning, or anything related to Nikolai.
It took less than an hour and my new glasses were ready, with my optician screaming her head off and leaving me with a stern warning that she wouldn’t give me new pairs if I misplaced this one.
I wish I could tell her that someone took them, along with some other stuff in my apartment which was also missing.
I adjusted my glasses, feeling weird but comfortable at the same time.
“Awwww. See, you look absolutely handsome with your glasses.”
Faintly I smiled at her. “Thank you.”
