The Unchosen Path

The Unchosen Path

There was a guard shack, and man in uniform stepped out to greet us. Dad rolled down the window on the driver's side, and the guard lowered him self to peer in with a smile on his face. "Good evening your majesty! Go on in, the other alphas have already arrived. Stay on the main road that runs through the center of the pack housing. At the top of the hill you will see the Alpha Marcus's mansion."

Midwinter Town: A Novella

Midwinter Town: A Novella

The horse slowly continued down the road, sensing that something isn`t right. When they reached the hill, the merchant knew exactly what it was. The remains of camp or a battle, he wasn`t sure…nor did he wanted to know. He turned, mounted his horse and went into the other direction. The Long Road, they call it. It certainly earned that name. Somewhere high above him, on rocky edge, hidden among two sides of the mountain stood an inn, old and freshly repaired, but still it was an inn. He hurried his horse. The inn was large, it had three of four floors, he couldn’t tell. It was getting larger and larger with each passing feet. He dismounted. Two large, but rundown, wooden doors loomed over hi

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

“Marked as Property, Stolen by the Alpha”

Elowen studied the map closely. "They're connected." Thin golden threads stretched between the circles. Not straight lines. Gentle curves. Like rivers finding one another. Caelum's eyes widened. "The roads..." He whispered. "They're coming back by themselves." Hope looked more closely. He was right. No one was building these new roads. No lantern was guiding them. No ancient magic was restoring them. People were traveling. Writing letters. Sharing seeds. Telling stories. Helping strangers. The roads were growing because hearts had remained connected.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Reasonable honestly. Then nobody answered. Because the answer was obvious. The symbols described something called: The Four Roads. Ancient paths leading to forgotten places. Most had vanished from history. Then Ava traced one symbol carefully. Then: "This road." Pause. Then: "It leads to the City of Echoes." Silence. Then Rowan smiled. Dangerously. Then: "The City of Echoes sounds cool." Then Cassian immediately replied. Then: "That's exactly why it's dangerous." God. No.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

A Cold New Year

A Cold New Year

Now all I saw was a pathetic man drowning in his own ego. He never understood me, or maybe he never even tried to. Kian thought I couldn’t live without him. He never realized that leaving him was the first time I’d truly been able to breathe. I replied to Harper with a rolling eyes emoji and typed, "He can continue being delusional." Over the following weeks, I threw myself completely into photography work and my new life. The scenery in Vaelith was beautiful. I wandered through the city with my camera, photographing rain-soaked streets, elderly men feeding pigeons, and couples kissing beneath glowing streetlights.

The Space Between Pines

The Space Between Pines

He almost made it to the door. "Eli." He stopped with his hand on the door. Gave himself one breath. Turned. Noah was leaning against the far end of the counter with his arms crossed and the coffee pot in one hand and that careful professional expression on his face. But his eyes were direct now in a way they hadn't been before, and Eli felt the full weight of them the way you felt a hand pressed flat against your sternum. "The access road to the inn floods in heavy rain," Noah said. "Take Mill Road. Left past the old Granger property." A pause. "You remember where that is."

Mated To My Stepbrother

Mated To My Stepbrother

Predators hunted in the rain too. Panic, raw and immediate, surged again. I scrambled forward, ignoring the protests of my body, driven only by the primal urge to put distance between myself and… everything. The mansion. The pack. Ashton’s cold eyes. Nick’s leering face. Loveth’s triumphant smile. The crushing weight of being Novah Thorne. The trees thinned abruptly. I burst out onto a narrow, rain-slicked country road I barely recognized, blinking against the downpour. A lone, dilapidated bus shelter stood like a forgotten sentinel on the opposite side. Sanctuary. Sort of.

The Road I Chose

The Road I Chose

Be careful on the road. I looked at the message and did not reply. Just then, my phone rang. It was Tristan. I hesitated for a few seconds, then answered. His voice was quiet. "I'm nearby. Can I see you for a moment?" I looked downstairs. He stood beneath a streetlamp, wearing a black coat. The fog blurred half his outline. It reminded me of years ago, when his startup had failed, and he stood downstairs at my place, lost, yet stubborn. Back then, I had run down and hugged him. Now, I only said, "Alright."

The Road He Didn't Take

The Road He Didn't Take

I was so insistent on holding onto what has never belonged to me. When I came around once more, the narrow road behind me was already filled with traffic. I had no time to lose. I took a deep breath and knelt in front of Francis. "Francis, it's all my fault, but my father is innocent. Can you please clear a path and send him to the hospital?" I prostrated myself and bowed to the ground in front of him, baffling the other surrounding drivers. "My father has lost consciousness due to a cerebral hemorrhage. His life is at stake! I'm begging you, only you have such powers!"

Kiss Me While The Pack Burns

Kiss Me While The Pack Burns

The First Witness floated beside Nova. Its galaxy-filled eyes reflected the shadow. "Why are they sad?" Nova didn't know how to answer. Because the truth was simple. They had been forgotten. And there were few wounds deeper than that. The shadow slowly pulled apart. Not splitting. Opening. Like a doorway. A path emerged through the darkness. A road built from shattered galaxies and dead starlight. The sight was beautiful. And horrifying. The road stretched endlessly into the Graveyard. Toward something hidden beyond sight. The voice echoed once more.
