Aisles labeled 'Things That Fly,' 'Things That Glow in the Dark,' 'Things That Make Noise,' and 'Things That Go Splat.' Under 'Things That Fly,' you wouldn't find a generic 'aerodynamics kit.' You'd find curated bundles: 'Build a Sock-and-Paperclip Helicopter That Actually Hovers,' or 'Design a Parachute for an Egg (We Supply the Eggs).' The components are tactile, colorful, and a little bit odd—copper tape, PVC pipes cut to strange lengths, DC motors scavenged from old toys, big tubs of baking soda. The goal is to make the raw materials feel like the pieces of a thousand different possible games.
The most critical area is the 'Tinker Zone' in the center, a protected chaos space with big, washable tables, basic tools, and a 'Parts Amnesty' bin where kids can cannibalize their failed projects for future ones.
