Novel & Cerita Novel Set In New Orleans

Cynthia asked as we started eating. "One of them is a Plantation house in Baton Rouge that's survived everything mother nature has thrown at it with a beautiful property and the other place used to be a warehouse near the center of New Orleans that was converted into a steampunk, industrial style house, but it has a large unlit parking lot instead of a yard." Elsie said after finishing her first bite.

"New Orleans?" "Yep! It's beautiful, Kate. It's like something out of a dream. The streets are cobbled and alive, the buildings have that French charm, and at night the city lights feel like you're walking through music. Jazz spills from every alleyway. I swear, it's magic. It's so beautiful." I smiled, closing my eyes for a moment to imagine it. Rhea twirling in a flowy dress on a humid New Orleans street. Liam chasing her with a camera. Laughter echoing off the brick walls. Freedom. Joy. A life she deserved. A life I deserved also.

Gideon swigged vodka straight from a glass bottle he’d raided from the hotel mini-bar, the burn in his throat grounding him. He kicked the balcony doors open. The New Orleans humidity clung to his skin like a wet shroud, thick with the stench of Saati Town—garbage, exhaust, and the copper tang of blood from a dozen street fights happening blocks away. Below, the Sopttyi District was a cesspool of tourists and bottom-feeders, all grinding against each other like rats in a cage.

I’m so used to the lighter garden-y fare in California, I’d forgotten how wickedly rich French food can be. Across from her, Andrew’s brows drew together in consternation. “At some point when all this mess is settled, I’ll have to take you to New Orleans. It’s a city of carnal delights, beginning with the first bite of food you put in your mouth.” Evelyn laughed at his expression. “I can read that sin-filled nostalgia on your face from here. What kind of trouble were you into in New Orleans?” “Steamboat,” he replied, but offered no further details. “Some day I’ll take you on one, then you’ll understand.”

Welcome dudes and dudeths! I'm honestly Soo excited to start writing a book of this caliber. Apparently this is my very first Nigerian book, yup very first. I've always had the thought of writing a book that brings awareness to some of the bad things going on in our society today, practically to all teens out there in the world, and how we can change our society at large. I honestly hope my book reaches out to people out there. Some of the things this book is going to surround on would be,

She instructed her best friend and rushed to the bathroom. "What's this?" Tasha found something on her desk. she picked up the booklet and turned the pages, "A new novel?" she exclaimed. "Wait!" Arielle shouted from the bathroom, she had the habit to write it down instead of typing her stories, she used her gift to write 2-3 chapters of her new novel last night before going to bed. She rushed out with the toothbrush still on her hand. "Give that to me." "Nope. You're writing a new novel? A romance novel at that?" Tasha ran around the room reading the notes.

The afternoon sun warmed her skin through the open windows of the cab as she stared at the narrow one-way roads filled with different cars and people once they entered the French Quarter neighborhood and drove through Bourbon Street. Cinnia sighed and leaned back in her seat. She felt fear grip her heart in a tight fist. She had been adamant in coming to New Orleans but now that she was there, she wasn't sure of what she would do exactly. "How are we to get weapons?" She whispered to Conall.

The air in New Orleans was a thick, wet blanket, heavy with the scent of jasmine, decay, and distant rain. It was a city that breathed, a living, sweating entity that clung to the past with a tenacity Jonah had never experienced. He walked a half-step behind Julian Clarkson, the cacophony of the French Quarter—the wail of a trumpet, the laughter from a balcony, the sizzle of grease from a beignet stand—seeming to part around his employer like water around a stone.
