I walked around and saw all the books that were on the bookshelves. Everything is organized in alphabetic order, and each stack was organized into different genres. How can someone be so organized? I picked up a book that caught my attention and went to Aaron’s desk. I know that this is all wrong, and if Aaron finds out, he is going to kill me, but I couldn't resist all these books. I wore his jacket, and his scent covered me and made me more relaxed. Why does he make me feel this way? As much as I am scared when I am around him, he still manages to make me feel something I have never felt before. God, what is he doing to me? I started reading the book, and I wrapped myself in his jacket.

“Jennifer and I are getting married at the end of the month. You like money, don’t you? As long as you come, I’ll give you a million.” He really was convinced that I was a gold digger. I chuckled and murmured, “Too bad I can’t go, but William, I wish you and Jennifer a happy life together from the bottom of my heart." Suddenly, a powerful force pulled me in. When I regained consciousness, I saw Jennifer and a man dressed in a robe. The man was holding a wooden cross and chanting under his breath. There was a table in front of him with a white porcelain urn on it. It was my urn.

He sat at the kitchen table and put both hands flat on the surface and looked at them. "Done?" Dante said. He was at the counter, cutting the bread for lunch. "Done," Elian said. "First draft. Very rough in the middle section. The ending needs — " He stopped. "The ending is right. It surprised me." "How does it end?" Dante asked. Elian looked at him. "The same way the best things end," he said. "Not dramatically. Just — the two of them in a place they've made theirs, and the sense that what comes next is the actual story and the novel has just been the prologue to it."

That was more than enough. The End

A thing with a location was a thing you could bear to wait for. He finished the book. He closed it. He sat with the quality of having finished something, which was not the same as the quality of having ended something. Finishing was completed. The ending was a loss. The therapy would be an ending, and he would hold it as an ending, with all the weight that endings deserved. But the after—the after was not an ending. The after was a different kind of thing.
