Twelve more days to see Andrew, and twelve more days to have my mystery man around me. The Forest was silent. Not a creature was out, not a bird nor hare, the only sound echoing through the brown leafless trees and snow covered ground was the crunching sound of my feet as I took my slow but quick steps deeper and deeper into the dead of winter. My mother used to love the forest, I’d often follow her, and we’d walk around sometimes play hide and seek, she’d always let me win of course. I felt a sort of comfort amongst the trees, I felt like I wasn’t alone, sometimes it’s as if I can hear them whisper to me, calling me. “This way. The tree should be just beyond this ridge.” They trekked onward, the excitement building with each passing moment. Eventually, they arrived at a small clearing, and there it stood—the old tree, its massive trunk gnarled and twisted, with roots that snaked out like ancient fingers gripping the earth. “Wow,” Jace breathed, taking in the sight. “It’s incredible.” Mia stepped closer, her eyes sparkling. “It feels alive, like it’s watching us.” Elara began sketching the tree, capturing its majesty and the intricate details of its bark. “This is going to be a beautiful illustration for our story.”

She stepped closer to the forest. "...your purpose has simply grown." Silence. The words settled among the branches. Like seeds searching for soil. The child laughed softly. "Trees understand growing." Harbor chuckled. "They simply need someone to remind them." For the first time... A tiny green shoot emerged from the bark of one of the ancient black trees. It was almost invisible. Yet every tree in the forest felt it. The ancient face stared in disbelief. "Impossible..." The newly named man smiled warmly. "No." He touched the rough bark with gentle fingers.

His name left my sealed lips, resonating in my chest like the taste of salvation. I don’t know what happened after I resisted again except for that strange lightning that consumed me, but when I lifted my eyes, towering trees stood before me. Strange-looking trees that seemed as though they could touch the sky from the angle at which I viewed them. Tall trunks, thick branches, and shapes that didn’t quite fit anything my imagination could comprehend because these weren’t normal plants I had ever seen before except… My brain buzzed, and a thousand sensations ran through me all at once as I crouched, clutching my head with both arms, trying to reel in whatever this was.

The word Beginning still glowed upon the ancient page. Its light spread far beyond the First Study. Across forgotten kingdoms... through abandoned libraries... over silent oceans... and into worlds that had never known the existence of stories. Everywhere it traveled... something impossible happened. Time moved again. The White Tree, whose branches had withered through endless ages, slowly bloomed with brilliant silver leaves. The Hall of Readers stood once more. Not rebuilt. Restored. As though it had never fallen. Far away, the City of Forgotten Authors awakened beneath a sky filled with newborn constellations.

Small leaves had grown in random parts of his arm, it was as if it was made out of a tree, bark-covered the outer layer of his arm. He glanced behind him, finally noticing a giant tree, a willow tree. It’s thick leaves a shower of curtains, covering the broken interior of the cabin he was in. He felt drawn to such a massive tree, it was unlike any other tree he had seen, it was massive, it was as tall as a three-story house. He felt drawn to it. A magnetic pull urging him towards it. Subconsciously standing up with unsteady feet he went near it, touching its trunk, he could feel it was alive,

"It's exactly five o'clock. Let's go and I'm sure the others are looking for us." We walked together. I can see four big trees from here. It is covered with moss. The woman in old -fashioned clothes was pressed something on it. And a moment later, the four trees split in two. The birds flew, I could see that above. Even the sounds of other animals like crows were also heard from here. We were dazzled by the light when the four trees were finally split in two. Bright, super bright.

Amelia stood amidst the towering trees, their branches reaching towards the sky like outstretched arms. The dense forest seemed to cocoon her in its embrace, providing a sense of solace and escape from the tumultuous world she had known. It was here, in the heart of nature's sanctuary, that she sought refuge, away from the prying eyes and the painful memories that haunted her.

We don’t have too many of these moments to bond together left, at least not for just the two of us. “I’d like that.” ________________________ In the early hours of the morning, a cloaked figure slinks through the dense trees of the Novan forest, a canister of some unidentified substance in one hand, and a book of matches in the other. They move through the woodlands as quietly as a ghost, leaving no tracks behind them, only a steady stream of noxious liquid spilling from the can.

The trees swayed and I saw a few cats playing with each other. "Yeah?" He said, his voice muffled as well. "Wait till you see the actual place." And we were silent for a while until I saw a sign. "Hot air balloon festival? You're taking me on an air hot air balloon?" "Yeah." Brayden laughed as he slowed the bike down. "Pretty cool, huh?" And we stopped in what seems like a field. The balloons were huge with variety of colors. I was so amused and amazed that Brayden would actually do something like this for me.
