The Beta's Daughter

The Beta's Daughter

I’d tried to list everything that I needed to say, everything that I had to explain. I slammed the notebook shut. I huffed out a breath, and turned to look back out of the window. The forest was thicker here, the trees more densely packed. There were more pine trees, too, darker and taller than the bright orange trees of the sparse woodland we’d driven through before. Silently, Samyak’s hand snaked its way into mine. I gave it a small squeeze, but kept my eyes fixed resolutely on the pines outside. They were untouched by the oncoming autumn, and would remain as they were even in the harsh winter ahead.

GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

GIVEN TO THE WRONG ALPHA

It collapses into dust. The bones inside — the ancient Alpha — fall free. They don’t hit the ground. They turn to light. Green and gold. It shoots straight up through the stone, through the earth, to the new Tree above. On our comms, Sky gasps. “Wren! The D.C. Tree just — it just grew fifty feet! It’s… crying. Sap like tears.” One down. Eleven to go. Eli moves to the next tree. Then Draven. Then me.

The Alpha’s Rejected Human Luna

The Alpha’s Rejected Human Luna

A faded NO TRESPASSING sign leaned at an angle, now accompanied by a newer one with friendlier lettering: PRIVATE LAND – ASK BEFORE ENTERING Rowan had designed that one. I stood just inside the tree line, fingers brushing the rough bark of the nearest trunk. If I closed my eyes, I could almost hear it: The crunch of boots on gravel. The slam of a van door. The scrape of my own breath as I’d tried not to make a sound. Back then, this place had been a threshold into someone else’s story. Tonight, it felt like… a bookmark. “Talking to trees again?” Naomi’s voice floated toward me, threaded with amusement and the faint creak of the wagon she was half‑heartedly pulling up the path.

The Midnight Sorceress

The Midnight Sorceress

Then she looked at the Czarevna again, realizing that she would have to face her father eventually, and Cassandra couldn't imagine how the princess must have felt. ~*~ The Old Tree was an imposing sight. It stood in the middle of the marshes with its branches stretched out, blocking the sky. Its trunk spread over the ground like a giant hand holding down the earth. One would have mistaken it for a tower from a distance. But that wasn't the most intriguing part about the majestic tree. Cassandra could hear the faint musical sounds from the rattling leaves, and the fibers of the vines glowed with tiny particles of light. Over the surface of the water, it looked like the tree was upside down.

Midnight Lunar ( Journy to Alpha Kai )

At the very top was an open space where you stepped out on what I would call a patio and look over the entire forest, I obviously had to take out my phone and take pictures, the views where so unreal and amazing. The forest seem to stretch on for miles, just as I was about to turn and head back into the tree a glistening in the distance caught my attention, I turn and focus my eyes, allowing Daemus to push forward, we zero in on a very old and very tall tree with what appears to be gems hanging from it. I make a mental note of the distance and direction and head back down from the tree to find my grandma still conversing with a few of the other Sprites << hey grandma, what's that tree over y

After reading the prologue, I give this a 5-star rating. The author has successfully got my attention, albeit werewolves' stories are not my cup of tea. I can feel the love for the family of a father whose duty is to protect them all cost. Kudos!

I really enjoyed this continuation and I can’t wait to read the next book! I just have so many questions…also what of the King’s quadruplets!? Or perhaps there could be like a spin-off that can dive into the vampire side cause since the first book there has been no mention of Skaii’s sister!

THE DEVIL´S DAUGHTER

THE DEVIL´S DAUGHTER

It is difficult to see if the trees are growing up or down; the forest has its own pulse like a rhythmic heartbeat traveling up from the ground into their own bodies. The heat rising out of the earth creates a low-lying haze among the trees. The light fog resembles a snake as it twists and caresses the protruding tree roots. This is not a place that wants you any good. Indra can feel it. A new rumbling sound rolls across the sky. She's looking at her friends. Brage hasn't left Vimar's side. He wants to be close to him so he can defend his loved one in case something happens to him again.

Traveller Of Two Worlds

Traveller Of Two Worlds

] "One tree only got 15 nuts…well….that's...nuts…hehe.." It's been 5 days since I arrive at this world called Fantasma, the forest where I'm currently trekking right now was known as Drachma Forest, the forest itself wasn't dense, it's just that it's never been touched by anyone. So, in other words, it's a virgin forest. Naturally, there are plenty of rare resources lying around. I've been collecting all things that can help me increase my Status Attributes, the nuts I found were just adding to my already plenty of resources. Still walking in this calm and beautiful forest was quite enjoyable; besides I never get tired of collecting all the items that grant me free status points.

Called by Fire

Called by Fire

She was glad their relationship was back to a familiar and friendly warmth. When they reached the outskirts of the village, Bree felt the welcoming aroma of nature. They were walking for a while into the deeper parts of the forest, and eventually reached a beautiful spot near a watercourse. The trees were old and large, and the river was wide and wild. Her first move was to reach for the closest tree and connect with the core. That forest had suffered from the intense farming activities of the village, but was still strong, thriving besides the interference of mankind. The river that crossed it was the same they had seen cutting through the village. It also experienced the downsides of civil

“That’s it! I quit. I suck.” I turned to look at what she was making. She had gotten 20% of the starting drawing right, but in time lost touch of everything. I laughed lightly and took the book for inspection. The pages fluttered, and behind the unfinished busy subway, I saw a few more colourful drawings and sketches. I turned the page, and was greeted by the sight of a huge green tree. At first glance it looked really majestic. Because all you will notice at first are the thick heavy branches. But in time, when you keep looking, you will see the differences.

The Lycan's Runaway Bride

The Lycan's Runaway Bride

I wonder what sort of flowers grow here in the spring and summer. At the far end of the garden, there’s a large birch tree. Its leaves have long since fallen, but it still looks beautiful with bits of snow piled on the branches and glistening icicles hanging down. Atwood takes my hand again and guides me over to the tree. There’s a bench underneath, which he wipes off with his coat sleeve so that we can sit. He pulls me close as we sit, rubbing my shoulder.
