November Writing Challenge Novels & Stories

No Nut November month started on a busy note as more students crammed into the library for studying sessions. The reading program for elementary students meant more people were borrowing books they usually didn’t read to collect stars on their reading cards to exchange some prizes decided for the school. Mary sighed. It was a busy week.

The best part of my day is refreshing GoodNovel and D****e and reading all the comments, especially because it allows me to interact with you guys. That being said. Writing this story was so gratifying, brought me so much joy, that I’m also not ready to leave that behind. So I am thrilled to announce my new story, “SUBMISSION 101,” a Professor/Student romance which dropped on November 26th on GoodNovel and D****e. It has about 10 times more smut than this book tho, so reader's discretion is strongly advised! Once again, thank you for reading, commenting, gifting and leaving gems!

Cliques had been established already and I couldn't break in . At first, the other kids weren't always mean . They didn't call me names . They didn't bully me . It all started to get worse in the month of November when Ms. Adams , my teacher asked us to write about our favorite thing in the world . I wrote my favorite thing to be the ability to see the midnight black sky with the shinny stars . It was a whole three page essay mixed with lots of emotions but the other kids considered it nonsense . While the teacher read my essay to the class they laughed out loud pointing fingers at me .

The next moment, darkness occupied me completely. To my readers: How time goes by. It has been around two months since I started to provide my writings to you. It just happened naturally and unknowingly. And the total amount of words is about to achieve 50 thousand. It is quite an exciting and important moment for new novel writers. For me, I couldn't write this novel smoothly without your strong support. I do appreciate that you all can accompany with me in this journey together. I do hope that we can continue to enjoy it and love it as always. TAbraham you for taking your time to read it.

Olive must have been freaking out that she hadn’t received the chapters I promised. Once I let my frustrations out, I began typing what I wrote in the notebook. It felt good to have some distractions. In fact, I could write the whole novel right now. I was literally away from the modern world without internet and social media. No phones or any gadgets. “Look at you, Tara.” I couldn’t believe I smiled as I raised the first page I wrote with the typewriter. “You have a lot of time and inspiration right now. Make use of it. And maybe when things go south, write a will and make them promise to publish this work because your fans need closure.”

"Ah okay, just this one time, Mey." "Thank you!" I smiled. He gave me a brief nod and continued to explain our task, "At the end of the year, each of you shall complete a 30,000 words novella. We would make it a contest, and just like any competition, there shall be a winner. Our English teacher, Mr. Rodriguez, an editor from our local paper, and I would be the judge." Koltin seemed very interested. I watched him eagerly raise his hand before asking, "What do we get if we win?"

My Lovely Readers, I just realized now that I had said in my notes I would publish today, but I'm sorry, I'm not. I made a mistake. I had scheduled groceries for today. I will be updating tomorrow, Monday, instead. Also, Charlie's standalone "The Bad Boy Next Door" is my entry to Goodnovel's annual contest. If you have time to reread the book, whether Charlie's or Freya's story, I would appreciate it. It would add to the views.

But the voice was there. I wrote until midnight. When I stopped and looked at what I had, there was something in it I recognized, something that had the same quality as the Sarabande and the piece I had titled Eleven Minutes, the particular honesty that Professor Valdez had called genuinely original and that my grandfather had simply called true. I titled the new one February. I put the notebook away and turned off the desk lamp. Outside the December cold pressed against the window. Inside, my room was warm and the spring enrollment packet was on the desk and the phone had Landon's last message still on the screen.

The Washington November morning was dark outside the window with the specific, particular darkness that arrives in November before the city has fully committed to winter but has begun the transition. The rose was on the windowsill in its winter rest. Patient. Rooted. Entirely itself. I had been writing since five. Not the frantic, deadline-driven writing of someone trying to finish. The calm, deliberate writing of someone who knew what needed to be said and was saying it correctly in the order it needed to be said in. The last chapter was about the other side.
