Nymph Names Generator Novels & Stories

Kaelan hovered at her side. Selene broke the silence. “Is it truly your birth‑name?” Nyra nodded, voice tight. “Morvyn said this scroll bears my true name, what I was called before I became Queen of Ash.” She released the scroll, letting it unfurl on the dais. Strange runes looped along the parchment’s margins, and at its center, in ink as dark as night, three names were listed: “Nyra Duskbane,” “Nyra Ashborne,” and another she did not recognize.

shh...not so loud. Grace scolded. Sorry. Geneva whispered. It’s okay, come here. Dad told her and picked her up and placed her on the bed next to me. She peeked over and her eyes went wide. He’s so little. She rubbed her finger over his little nose. May I hold him? She timidly asks. I squint at her. Sure, sit here next to me. I told her scooting over a little. Keep your legs out straight and make sure you support his little head. Ma instructed her. He’s squirmy and squishy. She giggled. Have you named them yet? No, we haven’t decided on any names yet. I told her. May I suggest some names? Geneva asked. Sure, we could all the help we can get. Damien smiled. Okay, so for the girl, how ‘bout As

Now, it was the giant’s turn to run as when he saw the Nymph getting closer to him, revealing the three princes, who were all glaring at me. “Oh how marvelous!” She gasped. “Are those real fangs? Can you change into a wolf real quick? Wow. Those ears are pointy but they look like regular ears. Were you trying to kill your powers, mister? Now that is just terrible! I can sense that it is an ancient gift! Oh wow. You three have very nice hair! Especially the red head. You remind me of Terrence.” She kept going on and on. And when she mentioned Nate’s father, the vampire prince flinched and made a move to get her to stop talking, but her mouth was going at the speed of light that Nate never got

’ ‘Rubber,’ I suggested. ‘Not bad, but has other connotations. Friction Man, or Potholer. I’m getting into this now. Bottom Boy, Chimney Sweep, Cracker. Be classical. Zeus, or biblical ... Onan. No, he may not get that one. Ask him what he would like to be called and think of a name for yourself. Go for Mary Magdalene or Venus. Choose a woman known for her promiscuity.’ ‘Fanny Hill?’ ‘Excellent. Just Fanny will do. It says it all. Kitty is another one.’

This bit of information just makes me dislike him more. “I don’t really think you would be human,” Alexander adds, “Humans don’t normally come into the Lunar woods, and certainly not as far as to fall into the Genecy river that much upriver.” “Do you think I’m a shifter too then?” I ask, hope ringing in my voice. Alexander shrugs, “Perhaps. Or you could be another type of supernatural. Perhaps a nymph.” “A Nymph?” “Yeah, they are river spirits who live high up in the mountains,” Alexander smiles, “You actually look like a nymph. You have moonlight in your eyes.”

I was surprised when I got to page twenty-one and saw no drawings. All accounts of the river nymph are rumor based only. Close research is unsafe, as no one is spared from their song. They are said to linger around waterfalls, at the base, to lure men to jump over the ledge so their necks will break, and they won't have to struggle to drown them. River nymphs eat the flesh of the living only, of men they find attractive, so killing innocent humans is purely for amusement. It is rumored few have made deals with the nymphs, to help get stronger. They have the ability to touch souls and can uncover lost powers. The price is unclear, as those who have made a deal claim they are sworn to secrecy

“It depends on the place and moment I am present.” “Then what is your name?” Bruno asked again, his curiosity still not satisfied. The gypsy smiled, as if she appreciated Bruno's persistence. “As I said, my name is variable, depending on the place and moment,” she replied. “Over the years, many have given me different names. I am known as Moira, Ananke, Kismet, Fado, Nornas, Wyrd, Fate... depending on the place and moment.” Bruno frowned, not satisfied with the gypsy's evasive answer.

, she asked curiously. Fiona sighed, “Part of me thinks that it was also because of their Ascendant Gift that they found each other. Do you know of the legend and relationship between Nymphs and the Leviathan?” she asked softly. “No, not particularly”, Bell answered tilting her head curiously. “Okay”, Fiona nodded and helped her when a bottle rolled away; she caught it and handed it back to her. “Maya is one of the Elements of Earth, but an Ascendant of a Nymph, derived from Nereids”, she started.

I nodded, “That’s good to know too.” Aunt Piper asked, “Do you have a name picked out yet?” I shook my head, “Not yet. We have a few ideas in mind, but we aren’t sure yet.” The teenager smiled, “You could name her Natasha… after me.” I smiled, “I do love that name. We could call her Tasha. That’s my wolf’s name.” Natasha smiled, “That’s what my friends call me.” I smiled and winked at her. I shrugged, “I thought about naming her after my grandmother, Wendy. I’m just not sure yet.”
