A woman leaned close to them, smiling softly as she smoothed my son’s hair. The boy was Eren, the child I had nearly given up half my life force to bring into the world. The woman was not me. I was Persephone, goddess of spring, queen of the Underworld, and Hades’s wife under every sacred law. Not long after, Nympha posted her own update on the social feed. In the illustration, my mother’s pomegranate brooch lay beside a small charm of laurel and asphodel, clumsily woven by a child’s hands. Beneath it, she wrote:

"We are here." Nyxoria stopped moving as she stared at the small huts made out of weathered woods, but that wasn't what stopped her, instead it was the people emerging out of huts to meet them. She knew them, her father had often described them, but they are very, very rare to find, a myth and seeing that they are living deeper in the forest she normally comes to, baffle her. They are the top five most dangerous creatures to exist. "Get behind me Tharros, these evil creatures are here."

My mother looked at me as she hugged Nyx, "We must keep the truth about her concealed until after the Trail of Titan and Laya." "But why?" Nyx sobbed, her shoulders heaving, "There are dozens of cursed creatures out there but they all keep harping about me, I do not intend to cause anyone harm." She cried louder clutching onto my mother's blouse. "Because my dear." She patted her blonde hair lovingly, running her hand through the silken threads, "No one likes a person more powerful than them, absolutely no one."

He would help me solve this' Nyra became hopeful. "Yes, I think I would try going to the human world" Nyra agreed. The goddess smiled. 'The path I set you on is a tough one my child. It would test the strength of your Love towards your mate. But be strong, because, you both are destined to be together' the goddess thought

Those purist nobles were going to have a fit, but I had an excellent argument to throw at them. Most of the multispecies matings were true mates, fated by Selene, the Moon Goddess and Helios. Also fated by Nyx since it now included vampires. Nyx was an interesting deity. Most tended to assume that she would most likely be evil because she was the Goddess of Night and Vampires, but that was far from the truth. She was an ancient deity that appeared at the dawn of creation. A beautiful winged Goddess.

She didn’t know if her wolf was rejecting them both. “Her name is Nyx.” Zeke’s smile widened. “That’s a beautiful name. Fitting. In Greek mythology, she’s the goddess of the night, the daughter of Chaos. Shadow and Nyx,” Zeke said. “You see, you were always meant for us.” Yes, but Nyx didn’t think so. She messed that up for Zeke just as she was going to mess things up for the whole school and get people killed. ‘Mark him.’ The voice startled her again, and she somehow ended up in Zeke’s arms, her heart pounding. How the hell did anyone ever get used to that?

Nyx is someone that many feel is a myth, but clearly, my brother has other thoughts. “What happened?” Akia’s voice is small, but I can’t blame her for that. “They visited me while I slept. They told me that Adolf was never meant to be here. He ran from Nyx a long time ago, and he needs to go back. The Moon Goddess said that, even without Adolf’s evil intentions, Ares was lost from the beginning. They are both poison.” My stomach turns as his words settle over me. I have no idea what to say. I do know that my brother is no liar, so if he says he was visited by them, then he was.
