They're able to come to Earth, unlike those from the realm Selena and I come from. We need the power of the gods to fight the two goddesses. Having Nyx and Hermes here will give us that power, in addition to the power Selena and Zaiden now have." Andrew explained while everyone looked at him in shock. "You're sure they will help us?" Selena asked. She was willing to accept all the help they could get if it meant they would survive.

“Usually there are three to five shifters for a queen.” “Mate, what is your name?” Codex asked as he came closer as I moved out from behind Drac. “Nyx, but I’m Fae. I can’t be a shifters mate.” I said as I looked at them. Confusion laced in my words. “Fae? Shifter? Who cares? You are our mate. We will be with you until the end of time if you allow us too.” Codex said as he came closer to me and grabbed my hand.

Outside, the moon still bled red light through the windows, painting their skin in strange hues. She took a long sip. Then looked at him sideways. “I have questions,” she said. “I figured.” She drew her knees up under her and faced him fully. “The gods are waking.” He nodded once. Lyra hesitated. Then: “What do you know about them, Nyxar? The gods. The real ones. Not the sanitized temple stories or bedtime myths.” His eyes lowered slightly, studying the deep red swirl of wine in his glass. For a moment, she thought he wouldn’t answer.

Why did this feeling hit me so hard? “Nyx has been with us almost as long as Hades, incredibly young for a Vólva, but she is very skilled. To the point that people were scared of her and what she could do. She will figure it out; she might look like death itself in an incredibly beautiful way, but she knows her craft.”

I spoke, bringing out the rational part and saw Hope open her lips to say something, but closed them. "The strongest spirits have names that represent something, Sin, Night, Destruction, Water, Sun, Moon, Iron, Vengeance, among others." Hope spoke slowly, taking it all in bit by bit. She took a deep breath and shook her head lightly, trying to control those waves of anger and hatred. "Exactly, no matter the race. The spiritual part and their names are important to know how strong they will be." I completed and finally held her hand, saw her go rigid. "Nyx is the personification of the Night, but not only the Night."

I gritted my teeth as their hands were tied together. “If this isn’t the most fucked up shit I have ever seen, I don’t know what is.” Nix mumbled beside me. I have to agree with him on this one. “And look at that one dude hovering over the fire like he’s the shit or something.” I choked on my spit. “Ugh… Nix, that is the god of the dragons, Typhon.” Nix stepped back nervously and rubbed the back of his neck.

A gasp tore from my throat, transforming into a low, powerful huff as Nyx took the reins. Nyx shook out her fur, stretching her large, powerful limbs. Unlike normal wolves, Nyx was massive, nearly the size of a purebred Alpha wolf, and her coat was a striking, midnight black with a single, snowy-white patch directly over her chest. But the most defining feature was her eyes vibrant, glowing violet. "Goddess, that feels amazing," Nyx howled silently in my mind, her paws digging into the dirt. She took off like a shot.

Nyx I couldn't feel the pain in my feet anymore, not when fear was clawing at me from the inside. My eyes widened, and my mouth opened, but nothing came out of it. All I could do was stare at the brown Lycan impaling me with its grip, its blue eyes sending shivers down my spine. It bared its fangs at me, bringing me close to its nose. It sniffed me and attempted to dig its fangs into my neck. At this point, I had stopped praying. All I could hope for was a quick death.

A sudden chill ran through me at the thought. The mother of wolves? The goddess of the moon. She was the one we always prayed to. The one I had prayed to several times while I was still at the pack. Maybe she had heard and sent Beros to save me. I was eager to know more about her. I turned back to continue my reading. "And lastly, Nyxar, the god of chaos and destruction, the push and pull of the world" This last name didn't leave me with a good feeling. Was this deity responsible for all the chaos?
