It blinded you, and it will destroy you.” For a heartbeat, the forest seemed to hold its breath. Kaelen felt the fire stir inside him again, eager to leap free, to burn these strangers who dared to threaten him. But he clenched his fists, forcing it down. Then another voice spoke, softer, from behind the line of hunters.

he roared slowly moving his hand around her back and almost cried. " It has to miracle for the bullet to have not touched her heart " he whispered to himself and this time around a tear of his own fell down his cheek. Everyone seemed frozen in their place watching the two.

"Let the sunshine find us" Silence envelopes the whole room, suffocating silence. I could feel waves of anger, radiating from Ophelia, it was too much to bear. The intensity was beyond a regular person's reaction. I peer at her, through my tear-soaked eyelashes. She wasn't moving from her seat, staring blankly into space. I could feel the wheels in her head rotating, the reality sinking in, the pain unfolding. "Tell me your lying." She finally whispered. I stay silent, scared of her outburst.

Those who couldn’t handle it were already dropping to their knees, shaking uncontrollably. Horace, as the Silverglade Pack’s Alpha, approached nervously, his voice trembling. "Who… who would dare? Do they have a death wish to lay a hand on the Luna of Black Rose?" He took one look at my condition and nearly fainted on the spot. The rage in his chest swelled. If he could, he would’ve torn the culprit apart with his bare hands. Aiden’s lackeys were already as pale as sheets, their regret bone-deep. They’d mocked me for days. I’d told them over and over that I was Black Rose’s Luna. They hadn’t believed a word.

I can feel my eyes droop as she continues, “No one would believe this about you, boo.” A dull ache settles in my stomach, and for a second my muscles can't move. I ignore it, and after a few moments I forget it; it goes away. She nods like that settles it. “Everyone knows you're with me.” I nod along with her as I try to force oxygen into my lungs. Why was I so careless? I close my eyes for a brief moment. “Who is this Aton Insider anyway? Would it be possible to bribe them?” Her eyes search mine as she says it, an uncertainty growing in them (probably because I haven't said a word in defense of myself).

The water was clear enough for me to see every rock that covered the bottom of it, every color could be seen. "Subhanallah" I whispered as I heard birds chirping around me. The first time I talked my throat felt like sandpaper no one said a word when it came to my past, they knew it all from going through the journal that had been my only companion in the darkness I came from, I didn't say anything when Myra returned the journal to me with tears in her eyes and I looked away from the sympathetic gazes of my family.

Alveera called joining us as she appeared from the class before walking up to peck Stephen. "I miss you" Stephen purred. "Me too" Alveera said locking hands with him. "Rule no 15...chapter 6, Agents should not be caught having affairs, it's a distraction" I reminded finding their love display slightly upsetting. "No body obeys that rule anymore" Stephen snickered with a smirk. "Because no body have actually been caught" I reminded and they kept mute for a while. "What's wrong?" I asked for their sudden silence that kinda scares me.

Then someone started chanting, and everyone joined in. "Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!" They knew nothing about what Shiloh and Manuel had been through. They had no idea how much she'd suffered. How hard she'd fought to get away from him. They were just enjoying the drama, pushing her to forgive him. Shiloh felt sick. She knocked the ring out of Manuel's hand. "I won't. Manuel Preston, I'd rather die than ever get back together with you."

"With cameras on every corner, Charles won't be able to hide for long. He's bound to be caught any minute now." Olivia had barely hung up when a loud knock rattled my door. I did not bother opening it. Instead, I peered through the digital peephole and saw the unmistakable silhouette. "Charles, I can see you out there. Don't mess up again. Turn yourself in, and maybe you can get a second chance," I called out. The knocking grew fiercer as Charles heard me. He was cursing up a storm, but I tuned him out, still pushing for him to give up.

No one knew when it could reopen. Benjamin approached, wanting to offer some words of comfort, but nothing came. He, who could speak circles around anyone in business, now stood helpless and mute in front of her. Before he could speak, Nissa lifted her phone. Her eyes were dull, expression gray. On the screen was a single sentence. "Did you do this?" Benjamin froze. She suspected him? He could not believe it. A wave of cold ran through his chest, his heart gripped by grief, anger, and emptiness.
