Off To The Races Elsie Silver Novels & Stories

Maybe in an attempt to alleviate the awkward silence, Lucas turned on the radio and light music filled the car. The car came to a stop in front of the Banks Mansion. The different types and colours of cars were parked in the compound. Lilian and I got out and she put her hand on my arm like it was the most natural thing to do. I caught her eyes and saw her face was already in a content smile. I sometimes wonder if she rehearsed that smile in front of the mirror, seeing it was so perfect everytime.

He probably never imagined anyone would refuse his touch. After all, the line of she-wolves waiting for his mark could stretch across the training grounds. My past self included. I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart and sent a cold message through our mind-link: "I lose." Kaiden froze for a split second. Then, he straightened his disheveled collar, his eyes filled with a teasing glint and a knowing smile. "I look forward to our trip together, my Elara." I turned and walked away, my steps a little unsteady.

Well everything was going on fine with them until Elsie decided it was time for her strike. "I think now that everything is calm and Zeus hasn't come yet, I will create an enmity between the two sisters. Oh yes, I will make Olin forget about her wolf and turned her against it. I will win and when eventually Zeus comes back he will have no one to return too. He was mine and he will forever be mine". Elsie said laughing out evily as her followers laughed out aloud with heru. "Olin and her white wolf first".

I ripped the Elder's pin from Willis's chest, held it high, and then threw it off the stage. The sound of metal hitting the floor was sharp and clear. A thunderous roar of applause and cheers erupted from below. "The Shadow Queen!" "Long live the Queen!" I turned to leave, but a young woman pushed through the crowd. It was Elara, the daughter of a traitor I had executed months ago. "My Queen," she cried, falling to her knees. "Please, allow me to offer you a blessing of loyalty!" I hesitated. Something felt off in her desperate gaze.

“Maybe you should just go back with them, Ashley. You’ve already brought enough trouble by leading them here.” “This is ridiculous,” she said, her arms crossed turning back to Silvia. “You’re risking everything for her based on some mark and a feeling? Silvia, you’re our alpha. You’re supposed to protect us, not gamble our lives on a hunch.” I bit my lip, swallowing the urge to snap back, my hands clenching into fists at my sides. The Silver Fang warrior’s grin widened, like he was enjoying the tension, like he thought he’d already won. I met his gaze, my voice steady despite the fear twisting in my gut. “Well, then, come get me,” I said, daring him to make a move.

Jules lowly growled towards me as he walked in the middle of the ring. “I’m fine.” Elsie panted out through an overly fake smile. “Go.” I wrapped my arm around Elsie’s shoulder as she waved at the crowd. I quickly ushered her out of the ring and out of the tent flaps. “Are you okay?” I asked as I pulled her off to the side before everyone appeared for the grand finale. “I-I’m fine.” Elsie stuttered out, but I knew she wasn’t okay. The fear lingered in her eyes; those beautiful blue orbs were dark and stormy.

I don’t know her before but I suddenly started to feel like she was competition. “What are you doing here?” Elsie asks with hostility. “You need to leave, now,” The three of us turned in the direction of the deep hoarse voice of Prince Ryder that sent chills down my spine as usual but this lady squealed like a little girl and flung herself on his chest.

Steve smiled at her unconscious coquettish action. “But I want to taste them now.” Carla pouted as she quickly finished the last rolls in the box while licking her oily lips. “You have to have enough space in your stomach for the food at the beach.” Steve teased with a smile on his face. If he had known that the way to her heart was through food, He would have taken that route sooner.

There it was, a conundrum. Little did the two know, someone heard the entire conversation and they were not happy. But they also knew everything that was cooking. Elsie walked to their room feeling like a zombie. When she opened the door a note fell from above to her feet. She was curious to open it. And it read. Dear Elsie, I know what you did. You might look innocent but I know your secret. Before this gets worse bring me two hundred thousand dollars in dustbin at the race course in the CBD. Failure to that I'll make your life a living hell.

He said with a note of finality, and went up the stairs. Regina glared at her. “You had better watch your back from now henceforth.” Ava said nothing and instead went over to her bedroom to get ready for the party. They arrived at the party in grand style, with Mr. Silver's Rolls Royce Limousine pulling up in front of the Smith’s house and grabbing the attention of a lot of people. They all stepped out of the vehicle with finesse, and as usual, a lot of eyes, attention, and cameras were pointed at Mr. Silver and his fiancée. It was almost as though Ava didn’t exist with them and, oddly, she was okay with that arrangement. At least, this way, no one would take note of her, and she would be le
