We walked into the pack house hand in hand. Today, the pack house is unusually clean. I can only smell flowers and food, not sweat. There's no one inside of the house. Eaton walked us to the backyard again and I could already see the crowd. Everybody is waiting there. The hugeeee backyard is almost full with people. Not everyday that normal werewolves get invited into the pack house. I mean, it's so crowded that I think maybe it's the whole pack right here.

He started with Alpha and gave a vivid description of how they are, oblivious that Harold's father was one and all things being normal, he was meant to be ascend the position next. When he was done talking on Alphas, he talked a little on the characteristics an Alpha's wife, a Luna, was meant to possess. When he was done, he spoke on the Betas and spent another fifteen minutes talking on Deltas. By the time he reached subtopic ‘Omega’, the class was almost entirely over. He then went on to talk on a wolf which they all possessed before the class came to an end. “What is it like being the pup of an Alpha?” Chloe asked as she and Harold walked out of the classroom.

JOSH POV Now, I have my first question. “Omegas?” I ask. Maddie smiles at me again. She begins to climb the stairs as she answers me, “Omega is a ranking within wolf shifter packs. It is the lowest rank of wolves. Most packs have an abundance of lower ranking wolves, omegas being the most prolific. They tend to be the worker bees. Landscapers, housekeepers, child care givers, teachers, nurses, and doctors; professions like that who are all about care and repetition, emotional empathy, encouragement and care. They have huge hearts, and it is in theirs’s and their wolves’ natures to be attentive and nurturing to the other pack members.

The omega sighed. As soon as they stepped into their apartment, Allie laid in her nest, bundled up in Nates clothes. The nest, for the most part, had been scaring away any nightmares or late night inner turmoil crises, but tonight was an apparent exception. She felt like she's on the verge of falling apart, and there's nothing that can be done to stop it except hoping that the Alphas scent will calm her.

Henry*** Dean’s voice sliced through the night, dripping with scorn. "The omega wants to play Alpha," he drawled, his smirk sharp enough to cut. The crowd of wolves parted around us, forming a wide circle. Their movements were almost synchronized, as if compelled by an unspoken force. Shadows flickered under the dim moonlight, their eyes glowing with a mixture of curiosity and dread. Whispers rippled through the ranks, barely audible over the low growls of those in wolf form. The tension was palpable, an electric charge in the air that seemed to grow with every breath.

He was an alpha, after all. I heard the jingling sounds of keys, and in my blurry vision, I saw the door opening. Joss tossed my bag inside and pushed me in, closing the door without wasting a second. "Don't come out. Go inside and make yourself a heat nest," he instructed from outside. (Heat Nest: Where the omega takes their mate's belongings and makes a comfortable place to spend the heat period. Their mate's scent coming from the belongings helps them to survive with less pain and with much comfort)
