I can visualize the clock wheels turning in his head, trying to decide if I am capable of understanding the complex poem. I like a challenge! Alex used his earth manipulation to control the terrain, allowing the group to pass safely. Allan’s shadows provided cover, shielding them from the creatures. "The world is the most important thing, because it is our home and our only home until we figure out how to make other planets inhabitable. Without the world itself, life as we know it would not exist. That's why," he said, starting to walk again, "we need to take care of the Earth. It's the only home we've got. For now, at least."

Felix gasped with dismay. “I hate to break this to you, young man, but there are also zombies,” Arthur said in a flat tone. “Where’s the safety factor of being here?” Felix pouted. “We might as well go back above ground.” “Does it look like this on the surface?” Arthur asked. “Is the air as clean? The water as sweet? What about the plant life? There are more advantages than disadvantaged in inner earth, I think.” “But, aliens and zombies are here,” Felix moaned. “There are also prehistoric beasts. Far away I can see the large globe of blue, white and green. It is beautiful. Even more so than any picture I have ever seen of earth. This is the first time I have been this close to home in almost five months. No. Not home. My home now is where Lazarus is. I turn my head in his direction. He’s not looking at earth, but at me. I reach my arms around his middle and he drapes his arms around me. Like this we stand, watching earth as we slowly make our way to the moon.
