The Mafia’s Temporary Bride

The Mafia’s Temporary Bride

“And I’ll be a happy husband. It’s easy, isn’t it?” “For me? Yes. For you? Who knows? Do you even know what happiness entails?” she mocked. Why did she never shut up? Her lips curled. “Happiness isn’t ordering people or forcing them to do your bidding. It comes from the heart. You know that organ in your chest? Yeah, that one.” His annoyance soared. “Guess you’ll have to deal with whatever I can offer. Wife.”

The Hunter and the Vampire

The Hunter and the Vampire

I was trying, but it was hard. Swallowing thickly, Sierra pulled me into a hug. “It’s not ridiculous,” she said. Slick hair tickled my cheeks. “You deserve to be happy – no matter what form it comes in. And… and I’m sorry for the part I played in your unhappiness.” “You make it seem so easy,” I murmured, pulling away gently. “Happiness is a choice,” she said simply. “One you make every day. It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it.”

Wake Up Sexy

Wake Up Sexy

Present Mornings are supposed to be refreshing and cordial or civil; for me they're mindless turn of the wheel of events probably providing the closure from the other days occuring. There's a trend setting moment because today for the first time in my entire life I was having a smile on my face as I laid on the bed, this particular not-so-nostalgic moprning. Serena sleeping on my one side, and Nathan was on the other hugging me tightly. I didn't knew that having a family of my own can be so pleasant that I couldn't help but feel extremely energetic and happy. What is true happiness? I've never known the answer to it but as the sun rays peeped from the sliding doors and touched my tanned skin

Falling For the Masked Lady.

Falling For the Masked Lady.

She said and June nodded. "My day went well mum, I worked, cleaned and then I ate," June said. "Is that the reason you were smiling like a lost puppy when you came into my room tonight?" She asked. "No mum, I was smiling because it's nice to see you looking so good and I remembered what you used to tell me then about true happiness," June said "You will only know true happiness when you find a man that makes you happy," Her mum said and coughed again. "Yes mum, I think I found true happiness mum. Michael makes me so happy and we are not even in a relationship" June confessed

Striding Spirits

Striding Spirits

Happiness is an attitude of mind, born of the simple determination to be happy under all outward circumstances." - J. Donald Walters Opening his eyes, Vicky gazed out the window at a bright blue sky above thousands of waves, creating a motion picture of sounds and surf. Flying seagulls with their piercing squawks over the mighty ocean were enhancing the vast view, making it more poignant and vivid. "What could I do?"

The boy I should not love

The boy I should not love

With every experience I had with them I have learned so much about who I am and who I am meant to become. The last year has been painful, embarrassing and downright tiring but I wouldn’t change anything that happened. If I did I wouldn’t be sitting here. This is the most happiness I’ve felt in my 18 years and I’ve had an awesome life so far. When I opened my eyes this morning, I realized that happiness is not a place, people or what I have. Happiness is a continual pursuit; I am constantly changing and growing. So the things that make me happy today may not be the same as next years. And that’s okay.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Silence. Then softly: “We already built the life I used to pray for.” God. The sentence physically tightened his chest. Because once, both of them viewed happiness like something distant. Future tense. Now? Now they were already living inside it. Elena looked toward the reception behind them. Warm lights. Laughter. Beautiful ordinary joy. “I spent so many years believing happiness would arrive dramatically.” Silence. “But honestly?” Her voice softened carefully. “It arrived slowly.” “In mornings.” “In conversations.” “In peace.”

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

FORGOTTEN IDENTITY

FORGOTTEN IDENTITY

"Not in the abstract. In the specific." "In what sense?" "In the sense that I spent most of my life believing happiness was a destination," he said. "Something you arrived at once you'd won enough or owned enough or proved enough. And then I spent several years believing it was a practice, something you chose deliberately every day, which is a more honest version of the same thing but still slightly too effortful to be quite right." He paused, his hands in his jacket pockets, looking at the street ahead of us. "I think what I've actually worked out is that happiness is just what it feels like when you're paying attention to your own life instead of to some imagined version of what your life

ALPHA COLTEN

ALPHA COLTEN

Colten’s Point Of View I used to think happiness was a prize you got for surviving hell. Like one day you’d wake up and boom you’d cross some invisible finish line where the bad days stayed locked behind you. That the universe owed you some neat, shining reward for all the times you’d been dragged through the dirt. Turns out, it’s nothing like that. Happiness doesn’t slam into you like a hurricane. It trickles in.

Getting my ex-wife back

Getting my ex-wife back

When Trevor said these words, he looked elsewhere. After a long time, Jenna understood how cruel reality was. She sobbed and asked, "Dad, do you think I can still be happy after Hansen marries Liya?" Trevor felt his hand tremble slightly and he held his glasses with his hand. Then, he placed his hands behind his back and paced a few steps. He said firmly, "You have to find happiness on your own, unlike what others perceive. I called you here today to tell you that happiness is actually very simple. As long as you're willing, you'll be happy. It's the threshold that you have to surmount in your heart."
