One Call Changed Everything

One Call Changed Everything

I was lounging at home, scrolling through social media, when a livestream title suddenly caught my eye—"The Other Woman Crash Course." Curious, I entered to see a woman talking animatedly, "My sugar daddy gives me 200,000 every month. I just need to keep him satisfied!" Viewers were doubtful and asked, "I don't believe you. Tell us how you two met." She smiled. "That's alright. You don't get to meet someone like that every day. I met him after doing a bone marrow transplant with his girlfriend three years ago. That's how I met this golden bachelor." I frowned. I had a bone marrow transplant three years ago too. Suddenly, the door opened, and she covered her phone in panic. A man's deep voice came through the microphone, "Baby? What're you doing? You're acting weird." My fingers froze the moment I heard that voice. He sounded so much like my fiance, Leo Harvey. I called him. The very next second, the custom ringtone I had set for Leo's phone rang clearly through the livestream.

The Luna Games

The Luna Games

**Hunger Games Meet Werewolves. One Mate. One Chance. No Mercy.** "Good evening, everyone. Thank you for joining us for the Luna Games. I feel immense honor that you all would sacrifice your lives to have a chance to stand by my side. The White Crescent Pack is forever growing and progressing, and we're in dire need of a Luna and an heir. One of you will lead beside me, and we'll create a better tomorrow. May the Moon Goddess watch over you, and keep you safe." *** Alpha Noah Harvey—my godfather, my protector, the man who’s loved me in every way but the one I’ve always wanted. He’s fifty. I’m turning eighteen. And I’ve been keeping a secret for years… one that ignited the moment I learned the truth: He entered the Luna Games. Not as a spectator. As the grand prize. Centuries-old and brutal, the Games are a savage tradition where unmated she-wolves fight in deadly trials for the right to claim an Alpha. I should’ve run. I should’ve looked away. Instead, I signed up the night before my birthday, without my parents’ blessing and with only one goal: Survive. Win Him. Prove I belong beside him. When our eyes locked at the ceremony, everything stilled. One whispered word cracked through the silence: “Mate.” Now I’ll have to bleed and battle my best friends to earn what fate has already declared mine. Because love isn’t a choice anymore...it's war. Read The Luna Games now if you love forbidden desire, deadly trials, and a heart-stopping age gap romance that breaks all the rules. "The Luna Games" is the sequel to "The Accused Mate" but can be read as a standalone!

That feeling of not wanting it to end. Finally, I love the writing style, how descriptive the author is with her words, and how well she explains the werewolf terms. This is especially good for readers trying to understand the werewolf world. Not forgetting the emotions,I love it. Love you, Author!

I never liked a saint for a FL. She goes through betrayal pains when xavier sleeps with Bianca but never dies that back to xavier.. I request the author not to portray the FL as pathetic. being vengeful and getting even is human. it helps to vent a lot even if the main leads get together in the end.

Frequently Asked Questions

I'm usually pretty forgiving with fantasy, but I gave up on 'One Luna' around the third chapter. It felt like a checklist of tropes—chosen one, a lost royal heir, a magical lunar prophecy—without any real spark to make them feel fresh. The prose is serviceable, but I never connected with the main character; she seemed to react to events rather than drive them. Maybe it gets better later, as some reviews suggest the political intrigue deepens, but the opening didn't hook me.

For fantasy fans with huge TBR piles, I'd say it's a skip unless you're desperately craving something very traditional and comfort-read adjacent. If you loved the pacing and world-building of something like 'The Priory of the Orange Tree', this might feel underdeveloped. My book club was split, with half enjoying the predictable rhythm and the other half, like me, finding it a bit of a slog.
