The King's Obsession

The King's Obsession

The silence that followed was absolute. Slowly, Karlo turned around. The expression on his face wasn't anger, it was a completely blank, hollow, void of pure, unadulterated carnage. The ruthless king who had built an empire on blood had finally revealed his single, fatal weakness to the world. He had tried to hide his little bird, but the hunters had smelled the gold on her gown.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then: "You look exactly like him." Thomas swallowed. Hard. Then: "Who are you?" The king smiled. Then: "I was king before Arkan was born." The tunnel shook. Then: "I ruled before the First Ones arrived." Another silence. Then: "I built this kingdom." The words hit like thunder. Then Henry's eyes widened. Immediately. Then: "The founder." The king looked at him. Then nodded. Then: "At least one of you can think." Honestly? Rude. Fair. Very rude. Reasonable honestly.

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

The Lycan Prince’s Puppy

Kylan As the king neared closer, True quickly lowered her head, and everyone behind her followed her lead. I stayed where I was, watching as the two paths joined together. The Bloodrose came from one side, and the king, queen, and their people came from the other. The king arrived first. “Your Majesty,” voices rose in unison. I heard fast steps behind me, and before I knew it Chrystal had run forward and hooked her arm through his. A scoff slipped from my lips. She looked too eager, too desperate, too pathetic…

Starry Start
Whether you write the flashback or the ongoing story it is making me get involved so much. I love this story so so much. Whoever reads this story, they can never abandon it. I generally never read a story till the last but this is a real exception. No matter how late you update I keep on waiting......

So far, one of the best books I’ve read on this site! I’m so engrossed in the story I’ve laughed, cried, and felt everything along with the characters. The plot unfolds in such a way that each new discovery leads to more intrigue and inquiry. It’s one of those story you vent and rant about to anyone

Good reads, although there is some slight misspelling or grammatical errors that the author might not notice which I know can be corrected, the storyline was great. Looking forward for next chapters. Good job author

This book is so interesting! Celeste should never go back to Andrew! The bastard has some nerve to come back for her after rejecting her! Men will embarrass themselves thinking they're embarrassing you. I can't wait to read more, and watch how King Elijah and Celestial relationship improves....

The King’s Seduction

The King’s Seduction

Everything about his place is perfectly fit for a King. Marek nudges my side, brining my attention back to Varian, and the man approaching to stand by his side, who I immediately know is the King. I'm immediately taken by his pretty eyes, like pure silver, framed by a dark line around the iris. Everything else about him is handsome too, but I already knew that. I've heard plenty of gossip about him in the past, even if all of the people I knew that had something to say about him had never actually met him. "Woah...You're the King," I hear myself say, my cheeks immediately reddening from embarrassment. How many times has he heard that?

The Banished Alpha Heir

The Banished Alpha Heir

Until today, he noticed Jeffrey had forgotten to lock the door after their evening session and made up his mind to make use of the opportunity. Zayn's eyes scanned through the books of the forbidden section and eventually found the one he wanted. "The King who never was" He smiled as he picked the book from the shelf and had his seat on the ground with the lamp illuminating the environment. He opened the book to discover the pages were blank and gasped in shock. Zayn spent several minutes flipping from page to page until he noticed only the centre page had ink written up. The story of the 'king who never was' was written on just one page and the others were blank to discourage one who had no

The Oath And The True Queen

The king sighed repeatedly, and nothing seemed ordinary about his behavior. "Your majesty, have you met her before?" Annalise finally asked, prompting the king to regain his senses. He resumed his usual cold and indifferent demeanor, attempting to regain control over the racing beats of his heart, which had unexpectedly quickened upon seeing the first woman to challenge him so boldly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 'King of Kings' novel is actually part of the 'Three Kingdoms' series written by the renowned Chinese author Luo Guanzhong. This epic historical saga, often titled 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' in English translations, is one of the Four Great Classical Novels of Chinese literature. Luo Guanzhong penned this masterpiece during the 14th century, blending history, legend, and his own narrative flair to create a story that's still beloved centuries later. The title 'King of Kings' might be a reference to the novel's portrayal of warlords like Cao Cao or Liu Bei, who vied for supremacy during the turbulent Three Kingdoms period.

What's fascinating about Luo Guanzhong's work is how he humanizes these larger-than-life figures. The novel isn't just about battles and strategies; it delves deep into themes of loyalty, brotherhood, and the moral complexities of power. I first encountered this story through the 2010 TV adaptation, which led me to hunt down the original text. The novel's influence extends far beyond literature - you can see its impact in countless games, anime like 'Ikki Tousen', and even in the way business strategists study its military tactics. That's the mark of truly timeless storytelling - when your work keeps inspiring new interpretations six hundred years after you wrote it.
