I smile and whisper back, “I love you too.” ---------- Onyx walks down the corridor as he shifts his attire again. Same way with the burning crimson flames. He’s back in his formal suit and neat dark brown hair. His eyes shift back to amber color. He sighs. When he reaches the room, he sits on the wrecked couch. Well, this house is pretty broke. This is where Onyx spends his time, thinking. He leans his head backwards and smiles. He knows that she’s standing behind him.

he walks over to the glass that holds each of them as they twirl. “They will be merged and will allow us all, to make new rules for us. Not rules set down by the elders, the ancient rules. No more of the old world. This will help us reset. New rules that will be embedded in our DNA for all wolves.” My attention snaps to Storm who is looking at the stones but she is cringing. “are you okay?” I whisper but she shakes her head no. “I don't know, I feel like my stomach is tearing itself apart,” she winces and I help her sit down. The boys shield us to avoid attracting unnecessary attention.

I stood there for a while, contemplating what was going to happen with Selah before leaving for my room. I knew he was still going to cover up for her. How he did it so easily was what shocked me but I knew that one day, it would all be out in the open. ONYX'S POV: I knew I had to go to see Selah tonight. She was going berserk and killing people. I had to warn her to stop. I had to tell her to. As soon as I was in the confines of my room, I put on a jacket and changed my slacks as I had worn the old one throughout the whole day. I immediately exited my room after instructing one of my guards to inform the driver to get ready.

OCTAVIA. The vampire's sword whistled toward Storm's neck, a silver blur cutting through moonlight. Her body dropped low, barely avoiding the blade that skimmed the space where her throat had been just a heartbeat earlier. She twisted and launched herself forward. Phoenix fire rippled across her fur in waves, leaving trails of heat shimmering in the air as she moved. The scent of ash filled the courtyard. 'Oh c'mon,' I muttered dryly. 'He's making Count Broodyfang look competent.'

"Well done, my love." He turned away, walking out of the throne room, and she followed suit. They head to the room where the vampires and other Loreans were gathered, waiting for their king to come and address them. The room was a buzzed with noise, as everyone was excited, talking about the upcoming war. "My loyal subjects," Onyx said. Everyone got silent when he spoke. Onyx spread his arms out wide. "By the week's end, we will see the fall of those filthy wolves, my brothers, and those pests that side with them. Saturday we will fight! And I will prevail!" He shouted.

But there was something different about her today, something extra radiant in her smile, as if she were hiding a delightful secret behind those beautiful eyes of hers. I rolled my eyes at her, sitting up straight and just then Onyx walked in, his face contorted with displeasure, rainwater dripping from the tips of his soaked hair on the floor, creating tiny puddles as he stomped his way into the living room. His clothes were soaked through and they clung to his body, outlining his frustration even more vividly.

He was angry, so angry that they were going to leave us and he was hiding what his intentions were from me which was the first clue this was going to hell. He nose-dived, spreading a ring of fire around Alice and Linden who called out and told Terran, and my parents who had arrived, to stay back. They were sure they were fine, and I felt like they were, but Onyx was up to something when he landed heavily before them. "Onyx," Linden boomed, "this is enough now." In a flash, he was cursing, holding his arm from where Onyx bit him. What the fuck? I didn't even know he could bite.

The dark circles beneath her eyes seemed a little less harsh in the soft moonlight filtering through the window. Suddenly, I felt Onyx edge closer to the surface of my mind. He wasn't aggressive or arrogant this time. His presence was quiet, hesitant, and strangely nervous. "Marcellous?" Onyx whispered inside my skull. "What?" My beast paused for a long moment, staring out through my eyes at the sleeping girl. *Do you think... when her wolf finally awakens... do you think her wolf will like me?" Onyx asked, his voice rough and uncertain. "Do you think I might scare her too?"

Terrifyingly calm and eager to face this Alpha. Tavian backs away from the two and gives them the signal to begin. But neither man moves. Garron's aura is still, this is beyond calm, he doesn't even register Dorian as a threat. Dorian sees this and his aura spikes and ripples violently as he draws power from his wolf. His fingers turn to claws and his teeth to fangs as releases a blow no doubt harder than anyone he's thrown before. The blow makes contact with a Garron's chest, sending a small shock wave through the arena. There's no way an Omega survives that is what we all thought, yes, including me, but Garron was unfazed.

This is the first in the insanity Series dealing with the Watson's and the two characters of Max and Deanna. The Second book is now out on Goodnovel. The name of it is Weathering the Storm. it continues where this book left off. The third will be released on November 1st, 2020 and it is called Breaking the eye wall. A tie in series will be released in December called The nightmare begins. All books will be released on Barnes and noble .com as well by the end of the year.
