Opposites Attract Kendrick Novels & Stories

… The pitch-black night gave way to the pale light of dawn, and the rain finally began to let up. As the hotel's revolving door began to turn, I used every ounce of my remaining strength to lift my head. It was Kendrick. He looked completely refreshed, his hair styled immaculately. It was obvious he had enjoyed a very pleasant night. And by his side stood his first love, Audrey Thompson, wearing a lightweight dress. At that exact moment, my heart plummeted. Kendrick's gaze swept over me without pausing for even a second. If anything, his brows knit slightly in annoyance.

Kendrick snickered. And therein lay the problem. Unused to relationships because he'd spurned long-term human ones, and unmated shape-shifters tended to more transient affairs, he didn't know how to woo Ruth. "I'm going to die of blue balls," he moaned. "You just need to change your method of operation." "But cheesy come-on lines are my thing. If I can't use that, what can I do?" "Do what your instinct says." "I've been doing that for days and I don't think I'm any closer to claiming her." His only consolation? Kendrick wasn't either.

Santiago inquired, astonished by the smirk on this friend's face. Kendrick grinned and sipped his drink slowly. “I have my plans, dude. That lady belongs to me and no one else. You just have to wait and see,” Ken remarked confidently. “Now, brother, that's what I'm talking about. “Get the ball rolling, man,” Santiago replied with a smile as he re-tied his necktie. Before he left his friend's office, they discussed business matters. Kendrick's best friend, the multibillionaire Santiago, is the polar opposite of Kendrick. Santiago is the life of the party — vivacious, sociable, and unafraid to stick to his guns.

He gave Zack, who was next to him a light kick, prompting the man to start introducing him. “Cutie, this is Kendrick—” “F*ck off!” Zack was speechless. That was exactly how he was cursed at when he had tried to introduce himself earlier. He was worried that Kendrick would be furious because of it but the latter was not. Kendrick had always had a good temper around pretty women. He took a seat next to Ciara with a grin on his face. “Babe, let’s have a drink and get to know each other! I’m Kendrick Odell, the Odello Corp.’s—”

Maverick has his arms wrapped around my waist tight, holding me close to his sculpted chest and his lips connect to mine, and it’s like a burst of energy surges through me. Not once in all my centuries of being on this earth have I ever kissed a man willingly. ‘Sloan, what the hell are you doing? he is a wolf,’ My conscience screams.

When her back hit the door, he raised his hand and asked, “chose between marking you or accepting me.” As much as he wanted to hear her answer, the person he was waiting to come through seemed to take all the time he had in the world. Where the fuck are you?” He cursed, returning his attention to Alpha Ciandra, he pushed his knee onto her thigh and whispered, “Ciandra, when I said I love patient mates, I forgot to mention something. I am not patient myself. You see, two opposites attract, and if both of us are patient, this relationship won’t work.”

The very opposite of what I stood for, and it held me back from developing strong feelings for him. However, those good qualities were still aspect I liked. Sharon often told me that opposites attract, and I thought that it wasn't such a bad thing. I wasn't considering anything serious happening between the both of us, but it didn't stop me from thinking about how much of a good person he was. After all, I wasn't one of those women who liked bad guys because I knew how toxic and irresponsible they could be.

It was as if this intoxicating fake bond was pulling at every fiber of my being. ‘You certainly are one heck of a partner,’ Kendrick buzzed in my head. ‘And you are no different from me. That's why the moon paired you with me,’ I shot back in amusement. ‘Heh… human. I'm different from you in the best possible way. At least I don't get to deny what's real, unlike you.’ ‘Then that makes you even more psychotic. You are driven by a manipulative bond, and you sit there imagining it's real,’ I said, my lips curling into a smirk.

“My brother is very intense, but he’s an excellent Alpha and he’s a good man. Wait until you meet his mate, Kennedy. I’ll bet you’ll be as surprised as everyone else is.” “Why is that?” he asks frowning. I grin, thinking of Kennedy. “As fierce as Quirin is, Kennedy is gentle and kind. You’d never expect that the two of them would make a good pair, but in their case, opposites definitely attract. You’ll see when you meet them. You’ll meet her parents tonight as well, Alpha Warren and Luna Yara. They’re good people. You don’t need to worry,” I say, when I feel him getting nervous again. “Take your time, there’s no rush. Gamma Knox knows that I’ll be calling him when you’re ready,” I say making

At least I hope she won't. Right now she's crooning at the thought of being near Leviathan. She finds him fascinating. They are both mythical creatures and incredibly powerful. However, they are opposites! It won't work. Whoever said 'opposites attract' didn't have to deal with a freaking horny firebird and a water dragon who wants nothing to do with them! (Actually, I haven't talked to him. I've only talked to Levi... But I'm guessing they are on the same page since they are one being.)
