She questioned. "I—" Merrigold stuttered not knowing what would be the appropriate response. "Anyways, I thought to bring you some oranges. They're really good for the baby." Merrigold stared at the woman's outstretched hand with an orange in her palm. Fearing for her life, she hesitantly declined by shaking her head. "How would I kill you with an unpeeled orange dear?"

Love the story. Do not change your story because readers might feel offended. Tell the tale as it is. Slavery is a fact and there was rape a daily struggle. But I do believe there was love as well. As I’m a proud mix race women. Born in a Dutch colony, these are the untold stories. Well told!!!

I defined give this book 100...️. Out of all the interesting books (and some not so interesting), this one takes the cake. A few grammatical errors, but at least you understand the actual story nonetheless. I fully recommend it for strong hearted readers. Different plot from the clichés in this app.

The Alpha's Babysitter

The Alpha's Babysitter

Theo's eyes sparkled with curiosity as he held up a vibrant red apple and a bright orange carrot. "Ah, that's a great question, Theo!" Teacher Mike exclaimed, his eyes twinkling with delight. "Fruits and vegetables get their colors from pigments, which are natural compounds that give them their vibrant hues. For example, the red color of the apple comes from a pigment called anthocyanin, while the orange color of the carrot comes from beta-carotene. These pigments not only make the fruits and vegetables look colorful but also provide important nutrients for our bodies." Theo listened intently, absorbing the information like a young scholar eager to learn. His mind raced with new questions an

Aurora paused to sip her drink. "Please eat and drink," she stated. "There is a selection of my favourite treats, both sweet and savoury. I am sure you will find something that appeals to you." I noticed a small bite-sized slice that looked similar to a caramel slice. There was a difference in the appearance. The top layer seemed to swirl and move with gold flecks floating through it. When I touched the top, it felt solid and stopped moving. As soon as I lifted my finger, it flowed, twisting and swirling across the surface of the slice.

Wild and Untamed

Her stomach turning at the thought of the food she used to like. “Did you like it before?” “I did, but now. Even thinking about it-” Annie said, bringing her hand up to her mouth. Her face going pale. “Do you like oranges?” Candy asked, trying to get her mate to think of something else. “My grandmother used to bring me and my brother chocolate covered oranges every Christmas.” “I do. That’s actually been one of my biggest cravings. That and jalapenos.” Candy nodded, a smile on her face as she decided where they would be going. She continued driving until she pulled Dev’s mustang into the parking lot of a Mexican restaurant. “I hope this is okay.” She said as she parked the car.

He drew the glass close to me, accepted his offer and took a sip of it. “How does it feel? Taste good right?” “Yeah, it feels amazing and refreshing.” I responded. “This isn’t tequila right?” I asked with all curiosity. “It is, but with a little drops of grenadine mixed with orange juice.” “Its refreshing.” I spoke out with the glass held up high. “We had it prepared for you. It’s all yours to take.” “What do you mean?”

Aurora The Lost Heiress

The inside was silver and steaming. “You're kidding. Is that smoking?” “It's the juice, don't worry. Try it.” Aurora hesitantly brought it to her mouth. A cold liquid ran down her chin before she even took a bite. The taste was... impossible to explain. Sweet like honey, sour like lemon, with a hint of mint. She gasped. “This is good. Like, really good.” Samira smiled, satisfied. “Most fruits here have healing or stimulating properties. Some just nourish, others strengthen. This one, for example, clears the mind. It helps when you're anxious.”

Says another, the redhead is grinning from ear to ear at this point and looks to the last one, who looks a little bashful, “What other flavours do you have?” The woman rattles off a list of various fruits and other syrups that most bars in big cities might not even have, “And I think we might have a little taste of the old country, hang on.” She has finished with the pints, and moved to stroll up and down the bar, looking at the optics and other bottles on the shelves. Finding what she wants, she brings it back to her group. “I found the dragon fruit syrup, so that’s an option if you want.” The unsure dwarf starts nodding aggressively.

The Million Dollar Marriage Deal

The Million Dollar Marriage Deal

He lifts the glass up and signs cheers before drinking a glass of an unfamiliar mixture of liquor. "But I bet, you won't do that. We offered that thing already, and it doesn't even have an interest and a due date, but you still refused," he smirked and turned around. One of the staff went out and handed him two wine glasses. He puts it on top of the table and motioned us to get it. The unknown drink in front of me looks weird. Other liquors are usually in a color of black and brown but this one is an orange with a leaf and a slice of a...what is this? Calamondin? I shot Dylan a weird glance.

Jai asked. Alyssa giggled. “It’s not Pearglet, Brother Jai. It’s Pearlet.” “Ah yes, what Pearlet?” Jai asked, smiling. “Sour Pearlet. You may have heard its sweet counterpart, the Honey Pearlet. But this is not the Honey Pearlet. This is the sour one. Honey Pearlet is more yellow in color while this one is orange in color,” Roger answered for him. “Aah… I see. Thank you for the information,” Jai smiled, despite feeling disappointed that it wasn’t the plant he was looking for.

she smirked, feeling a spark of determination. She quickly approached the panel and, in a flash of confidence, placed her order.
