The Devil She Knows

The Devil She Knows

Many years have been put into my plan and no part of it must fail. When I reach the Fountain of Promises, Aleksander and I bow to each other respectfully. He takes the ceremonial blade and holds it out to me. "Alessio Callum Scarfoni, do you swear your life and allegiance to our cause?" Aleksander keeps his gaze fixed on me as if he's trying to see into my mind. "I do." I raise my right hand and pledge. "Then please take the oath." "Luramentum est vita nostra et mors nostra," I say in Latin, which translates to: The oath is our life and our death.

OMG I just finished it & I love love LOVE this story- kudos writer! - so many twists and turns, great characters, insane plot.. there's GOTTA be a 2nd book right? I'll be checking right now! The random Italian names for ppl who are supposed to be Viking or Russian was confusing tho so just ignore.

I finished the novel and I want to say how impressed I am. Very good writing, great plot, good editing. I must say in the beginning I didn't like the way Camille was doing all the dirty things Alessio asked her to do, I wanted her to be a bit more defiant (continuation in reply)

Arranged Bride For The Lycan King

Arranged Bride For The Lycan King

“And you think you can kill me. Is that what they told you? I heard you visited the Grand Witches to ask for help killing me. That's just pathetic, don't you think? If you could kill me yourself, why run to them for help?” He growled deeply. “They weren't supposed to tell you that. The Order had really shifted. I'll kill you and then kill them. They broke the oath of their calling.” “Maybe I'll kill you first.” I ran towards him as fast as I could, hoping to catch him before he could react. As soon as the howl came, Olera opened his mouth to respond to it and I spotted the orb, already in the air on its way to me and I pushed it towards him, hoping that it would hit him just in time.

A King Slave For The Badass Alpha Queen

A King Slave For The Badass Alpha Queen

Her hands dig into the dirty pockets of her old dress until one fishes out a black seed. "I promised you that I would give you a good life before my death. That I would make sure that you have power than any person who desires it. I will not fail my promise, not after putting you through the stress of being a servant," she assures after handing Cara the seed. "Be safe, mother. I will do as you've directed," Cara says in a nervous voice. The Oracle nods before turning to leave. * * * * * * ABEL EVERHART'S POV The Lurkin I picked from the gifts given to her Majesty rolls on the bed beside me, it's big eyes expressing joy from finally being free from it's chain.

Beast Billionaire Claim

Beast Billionaire Claim

If war erupted before the eclipse, the prophecy’s shadow might fall early, and nothing would hold back the Hollow’s echo. Maxim stepped forward. “Name the oath.” The emissary’s voice carried like a blade drawn from its sheath. “You will swear by fang and flame that the Vale shall remain free of conquest, that moon-silver will be mined only for the good of all packs, and that your life will stand as guarantee. Should you betray this, your blood will return to the earth that bore it.” Gasps rustled through the chamber. A vow older than crowns, older even than the Hollow’s rise. To swear it was to surrender every claim of dominion, to become servant to the Vale itself.

Hunters: The Prequel

Hunters: The Prequel

In one of the rooms of the Orange Mansion (as it was now being called since the Orange Team had won the Grand Tourney and achieved permanent mansion status), a pale faced Lam was lying on a bed, unconscious but alive. His entire frame was covered with a large blanket, and from time to time his brows furrowed like he was in pain.

I hope that’s not the end end. So many left off pieces of the story all his friends on the other world, all the other gods story lines, he’s only used his blood born weapons and armour twice. Hasn’t even made it out of dreamscape yet. Still have everything in true verse going on while he “asleep”

MAGE WARS: Sword of Solace

MAGE WARS: Sword of Solace

“As of now, you have sworn your allegiance to the Heads. You have resolved to lay your lives down for a greater cause, bigger than all of us. Do you all accept to be inducted into the clan of Tomasa children?!” “WE DO!” “And do you swear to protect our cause with your lives and be awarded eternal gratitude?!” “WE DO!” “Then move forth, march into the battle holding you heads high for you are worthy to be granted the protection of The Great Link!” The administrative head had his hands elevated, pointing to the clear skies. A gigantic orange ring appeared, it was so big some could have easily mistaken it for a second sun. As it propelled and shot out massive waves of orange ember, distorting t

Luna's Last Oath

Luna's Last Oath

“And if you cling to his shadow, then you’ve already chosen exile. There is no room for half-measures here. Kneel or walk away and never return.” For a moment, it seemed they might test her. The courtyard balanced on the edge of blood. Then, slowly, one of the men spat to the side, turned on his heel, and stalked toward the gate. Two others followed, their shoulders rigid with restrained violence. The broad-shouldered male she had struck lingered longest. His jaw worked, his eyes flicking from Nicole’s steady stare to the wolves kneeling around them. Then, with a bitter growl, he dropped to his knees. The sound that followed was like thunder breaking. Howls rose into the air—some fierce, som

The Mark Of Orathyn

The Mark Of Orathyn

"It means no one will pass this door alone." The group traded uncertain looks. Pearl glanced at Evren, then back to the Keeper. "So whatever happens—" "—happens to all of us." The Keeper nodded. "For the first time since entering Orathyn, each of you will share the same path." Before anyone could ask anything more, a soft silver light spread across the floor beneath their feet, flowing out from the base of the door until it circled the whole group in a single glowing ring. The stars carved into the stone brightened one by one, reflected in every pair of eyes turned toward them.

The Heartbroken Luna’s Choice: Banish Love

The Heartbroken Luna’s Choice: Banish Love

"You've helped the Silverlight Pack a lot over the years. After the termination, I will voluntarily cut all ties with the Ironthorn Pack." I forced my voice to stay steady. "Your reputation is tied to the pack. You can't have any unnecessary bad publicity. If you need it, I can publicly take all the blame during the Stone Circle Ceremony." He rested his elbows on his knees, leaning slightly forward. He rubbed the bridge of his nose. "Go on." "I've already pressed my print onto this document," I looked up. "You can choose a moon phase, and we can swear the rejection oath before The Elder Council altar."

MOONLIGHT REBORN

MOONLIGHT REBORN

"I've spent seventeen years honoring a promise made on my behalf before I understood what it meant. I intend to spend whatever comes next honoring one I've made for myself." The old oath required a physical gesture, a warrior's blood mixed with the soil of the bound pack's territory, sealed before witnesses — and Dominic performed it there in the hall, a shallow cut across his palm, blood pressed into a small dish of Moonlight earth Reid had prepared in advance, the ancient words spoken clear and unhesitating.
