she says snapping more pictures with a look of pure glee on her face "Do you think I could sit on one of the lions like thoughs people, so you can get my picture?" "Hahahha Lanna, you do remember why we're here don't you?" Acre asked laughing "Well yes of course but look, it's London guys, it's so exciting" she replies jumping up and down clapping her hands. "So are you enjoying the sights?" a voice asks beside me making me jump "Calm down," he said as I spin to grab his throat and he knocks my hand away "How did you do that?" "Ahhh I can mask my scent, it's a talent I've had since I was a child, it helps me move around freely, I'm who everyone calls the boss but my name is Gregory"

Traveller Of Two Worlds

Traveller Of Two Worlds

Thus proving it was a limited products and everyone wanted to have them. Hearing that Aeternum were opened to trade, is a relief, what is annoying for Queen Duchess is to hear that the Eastern Union is already on the move. Beating them all by hours, Eastern Union is actually the Allied nation that were located on the eastern side of Aeternum, right now, there is only 2 side of the Aeternum allied Union, western and eastern. In power, the Western Union is much stronger and much more closer, than the Eastern Union, but in terms of opportunistic characteristic, Eastern Union is faster and much more shameless than they were.

EJIMA

EJIMA

Uche picked the first arrow and sauntered towards the line. His lips parted when he saw the glee in his wife's eyes. He was taller than most men in the camp and the muscles that streaked his body made his skin glow. Looking at him, Ejima could not stop thinking about the smooth feel of pottery. His hair was long too, and had been braided into two delicate strands, with their dark color, contrasting the cowries that dangled on them. It was an unfamiliar look, that one was strange. Ejima never liked Uche wearing long hair or beads. But seeing them on him made her...

she turned wildly on the spot, frantically looking around “W-where Lena! Where!” Lena gently grasped her arms “Calm down Dawnie”, she said “the Green Man is a forest god which means he will be in some place like a park or a forest or….” she trailed off, her brown eyes drifting towards the orchard that they’d parked across from “Oh, that’s clever”, she breathed, staring at the name: Viridios. Dawn followed her gaze “They wouldn’t be so brazen”, she remarked.

They had suddenly become insecure, panicking at the slightest touch. "Welcome great members of the Deadly Fang Pack!" Ryu exclaimed as he approached the corridor. "Great Deadly Fangs," they chanted till his voice came into play. "Last night my personal assistant was caught in a tight spot in the royal chambers. She was about to be assassinated by an unknown assassin when I walked in and stopped it. Fighting him, I realized he is a master of the art of Tai, the oldest and most fierce martial art in the history of werewolves.".

Rejected by My Mate, Desired by His Enemy

Rejected by My Mate, Desired by His Enemy

Haven absorbed that in silence. Then she reset her stance. They continued. Later that evening, Oliver found Iris in the strategy room. He did not sit right away. That alone made her look up from the table. “What is it?” she asked. Oliver hesitated. “It is changing.” Iris straightened slightly. “Define changing.” His fingers touched his wrist briefly, like anchoring something only he could feel clearly. “The Eastern presence,” he said. “It is no longer approaching from the east.” Iris’s gaze sharpened. “Explain.”

CARNAL

CARNAL

This was Daniel and Jai's first trip to the facilities of the Eastern Asian region and they were interested to see exactly what went on there. As they pulled up to a large iron fence, the driver made a call and the gate opened. They went through four more of those security checkpoints before reaching a long driveway that stretched out to a large Ming era-inspired mansion. Four pavilions branched off from the main building, each of them topped by a balcony that allowed the security inside to patrol from higher vantage point. Daniel knew he was being watched sharply as they exited the vehicle and began the hike up to the front door, which sat at the top of a seventy-foot staircase.

Ace

Ace

Lisa’s hands trembled as she sifted through the ancient texts in the folder. The weight of what Mia had uncovered pressed down on her like a physical force. The information before her was a tangled web of botanical knowledge, ancient rituals, and dark secrets. The *Sopor Veritas* was not just rare—it was an artifact of a bygone era, used in ceremonies that involved mind control, trances, and, in some cases, death.

Somehow, Daniel made that work and I didn't care to ask how. The fourth man, his name was imprinted in my head. Orion Huntington. This piece of shit had a daddy with pockets so deep that it almost made my father look like a pauper compared. With that being said, it was easy to hide his son's discrepancies and even easier to make finding the dipshit's medical records impossible. We had no idea that he had Dextrocardia — a condition where the heart pointed to the right side of the chest instead of the usual left. Because of that, the asshole survived. "Hey!" A voice called and I grinned to myself, "get off my car."

Usually, I am a lover of werewolf/mate story lines but The Astor brother books so far are amazing! Gunnar was great however, Ace is soooo much better! The relationship between the main characters after each chapter leaves you wanting more each time you read. It is highly recommended!

Frequently Asked Questions

There’s something about stumbling onto a series that clicks with you, and for me that happened with 'Orient' — and yeah, the person behind it is Shinobu Ohtaka. I got hooked not just because the premise mixes samurai vibes with a shonen energy, but because Ohtaka’s storytelling and art have this confident, playful clarity. If you’ve read 'Magi' you’ll probably notice a similar knack for emotionally punchy moments, strong character designs, and a sense of adventure that never forgets to have fun. Ohtaka both writes and draws the manga, which gives the whole thing a cohesive personality; the pacing, paneling, and visual jokes all read like one creator’s voice rather than a team working at arm’s length.

I first heard her name casually while chatting with friends after a long afternoon of swapping recommendations. They told me, “If you liked the worldbuilding in 'Magi', try 'Orient'.” That nudge sent me down a weekend rabbit hole through the Kodansha pages and collected volumes. 'Orient' began serialization in 2018 in Japan, and since then it’s been collected into multiple volumes and licensed for English release — so it’s relatively accessible for newcomers and collectors alike. One thing I appreciate is how Ohtaka blends classical Japanese motifs with modern shonen beats: you get samurai crews, sword spirits, and a rebellious undercurrent, but the emotional arcs are classic, reliable shonen territory — growth, friendship, and defiance against a grim status quo.

If you’re curious about the creator behind the series, Shinobu Ohtaka’s career path is a neat example of steady growth. 'Magi' put her on a lot of international radars with its mix of myth and character-driven storytelling, and with 'Orient' she leaned into a different cultural toolkit while keeping her strengths intact. For folks who enjoy strong female and male leads, clever world rules, and art that balances fluid action with expressive quiet panels, her work tends to deliver. Personally, I love spotting little flourishes in her art — a stray hair clinging to a cheek during a serious reveal, or the way a fight cuts from wide, cinematic panels to sudden, intimate close-ups that land an emotional punch. If you want to dig deeper, tracking down interviews or afterwords in the volumes gives small glimpses into her influences and what she was aiming for with the series, which makes reading feel even more rewarding.
