Monday, the 16th of May. 01:12 pm The pain was minimal but he felt it, it was the first thing he felt when his eyes opened because it throbbed, and so did his head. It was a little too bright in here so he could only open his eyes slowly until they could adjust to the brightness. He took in a deep breath, enjoying the flow of air through his lungs but what he did not like was the smell that flowed with it, it smelled of drugs and medicine. He moved his arm and only then did he realize that somebody’s head was resting on it, he turned his head and the person lifted hers, he was surprised seeing her there beside him but he was also happy. He smiled.

He helplessly closed his eyes pulling Denzel to his chest. ************ Win opened his eyes with a groan. His head was hammering. He tried to straighten up his hands and feet but couldn’t do it. His eyes commanding. "You look good drenched in pain, pet," he said so softly, I had to concentrate to make out his words. Heat flooded my cheeks. He chuckled. "Close your eyes." My lids fell without thought. His low rumbling growl skated chills down my arms. "Fuck," he breathed out. I opened my eyes. "What's wrong?" His green eyes were bright as fired emeralds. "Did I say you could open your eyes?" They fell closed on a sigh.

“Now rise and meet your pack.” I opened my eyes and slowly left the floor, but my eyes connected with a pair that had been tormenting my dreams, and I froze. It was him.

His eyes were closed, breathing slow and shallow. We were halfway through breakfast when I noticed his eyelids flutter. “He’s waking up,” I said quietly. Everyone present stopped whatever they were doing. Renn set his coffee down. Kira rushed from the stove towards the man while Marcus and Lena moved closer. Gage and Thorne looked up from their plates. The man’s eyes opened slowly. They were dark and unfocused at first. He blinked a few times, trying to make sense of the room full of strangers staring down at him.

"You should rest, Dr. Winters. You've used a tremendous amount of energy." I accepted the tea with a nod of thanks but didn't drink it. My attention remained fixed on Oliver's monitors. Eventually, Oliver's eyelids began to flutter. He was regaining consciousness. His eyes opened slowly, unfocused at first. Then his gaze found me, and surprise flooded his face. "M-mommy?" he whispered, his voice raspy.

he added “Pervert” I responded as this time he laughed “Yep. And I for one are a proud one” he replied “Are we there yet?” I asked “No, just a little more he replied “My legs are starting to hurt “Okay you can now open your eyes.” He spoke as I lifted his palm from my eyes and slowing opened them and the sight man. Must have been the prettiest sight my eyes have ever gazed upon “Wow” I exclaimed as I saw the sight

Elara I gasped, trying to say something, but the words completely died in my throat. Right before my eyes, his left eye blinked twice. When he opened it again, the dark green was completely gone, replaced by a glowing, molten shade of gold. My heart stopped dead in my chest. Maverick was fully awake.

“Open your eyes, dammit!” I forced my eyes open one last time, a faint smile tugging at the corner of my lips as I saw the panic in his eyes. Then the darkness swallowed everything.
