Second chance at happiness

Second chance at happiness

She hummed a little tune as she got the cloths and slipped into space. She cut the silk cloth for a neckerchief and cravat. The design was similar to what she did for her mother. She used the organza material to make a ruffled border. She embroidered a hummingbird on one side and a bunch of bleeding-heart flowers on the other side and along the hem all around about 1 inch width. Her fingers moved nimbly as she concentrated on her work. The finished design would look like the hummingbird was flying in a sea of flowers, sucking nectar from one of the flowers when pinned together.

The Villain's Hero

The Villain's Hero

“To separate off a smaller amount, something we might carry on ourselves without it being noticeable, whilst I see if I can find a good hiding spot.” I set one of the chairs upright and began to unravel the braid. I created two smaller braids, each no thicker than a finger, before weaving the rest back into a chain the width of my wrist. Whilst I did this, Aien discovered a loose hearthstone and began to dig beneath it, creating a space and a pile of earth.

He Chose my Cousin, so I Chose Revenge

He Chose my Cousin, so I Chose Revenge

She touched the fabric, read the notes we had attached to each piece—not prices, but stories. One tag read: “Woven during a week of silence. Hand-sewn with the memory of a photograph never developed.” Another: “Cut on a rainy morning. Intended for solitude.” Lena didn’t ask questions. She didn’t need to. She watched, then left. Later that day, she sent me the title of her feature: "Noelle Lives." I didn’t ask for edits.

FORBIDDEN BOND: The Alpha's Desire

FORBIDDEN BOND: The Alpha's Desire

“It was that or embroidery, and embroidery made me bleed. So.” Alaric crossed his arms. “You’ve never once mentioned knitting.” Kael grinned. “You’ve never once asked.” Aaron reached over and helped smooth the strands, his fingers practiced and gentle. Alaric narrowed his eyes. “Wait… you actually know how?” Aaron nodded. “I knitted my own scarf when I was eleven. And a bunny. And a pouch for my sword.” Kael gasped. “A bunny?” Aaron flushed. “It had crooked ears.”

The Billionaire’s Curvy Maid

The Billionaire’s Curvy Maid

Mia said with a quick glance in her direction before pulling me along. She led me into a room and released my hand. I stood by the door, watching her with quiet anticipation as she crossed to the closet. She opened it and rummaged for a moment before turning around. She held something up—and it was a crochet shirt. Neatly made. Beautifully done. A piece woven with care and time. “Wow.” I blinked, grinning from ear to ear as I stepped closer to her. “I made this,” she said with a proud little smile. “I’ve been crocheting for the past few months—made one for Aleandro and Giulia too. I figured I should make one for you, something to give you when we finally saw each other again.”

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

Sold as the Alpha King's Breeder

Unfortunately, I wasn't in the mood to appreciate the deliciousness. I forced myself to swallow so that I wouldn't look rude to my host, and answered, "I like to crochet." Certain aspects of my life were secrets that I would have to hide from everyone– but it was surely safe to share what my hobby was, "That's amazing," he said. "Are you working on something for the baby?" "I was…" I said, a forkful of mashed potatoes poised in front of me. "But I lost it." I learnt how to knit in the Drogomor pack…

I adore this series. I had the privilege to read it a couple years ago on a different platform. It’s incredibly detailed with mostly likeable characters. Plus you get to follow the journey as they grow and develop over several stories. It’s well worth the time invested!

The order of the book is a little confusing, started out with a story about Ethan and Rosalie and mid way through it's like the story has jumped back to were the beginning should be. I love the story but this kinda has me scratching my head .

His contract Bride, His secret child

His contract Bride, His secret child

Oatmeal. Noah came in at six fifty nine. He looked at the sketchbook on the table. He looked at the sketch. He looked at me. He tilted his head. He looked at the pocket dimensions. He looked at the hem length. He looked at the outside right pocket. He looked at me. "That's for me," he said. "Yes," I said. "The inside pocket," he said. "Deep." "Yes," I said. "For the ammonite," he said. "Yes," I said.

Puck Love Reunited - Book 2 in the Minnesota Ice Series

Puck Love Reunited - Book 2 in the Minnesota Ice Series

On top of the knotted pine bookcase is a small, flat screen television that I’m watching the start of the game on. Mom has placed a few plants, mainly ferns another of my favorite type of plant on the windowsill and one on the side of the television. From the ceiling hangs one of those white paper lights that are intricate and has the look of a large flower. It’s elegant and simple. I’ve got my crochet blanket that my grandma made over my legs, I love the rainbow colors and remember her giving it to me when I was around six. She’s created each square in a different color and in the centre, it has a large daisy head crocheted. It’s a craft I’d like to learn how to do, but right now with the b

Collide In Plain Sight

Collide In Plain Sight

It's organized to look like a rainbow, going from as low as the floor all the way to the ceiling. "Come look." Pierce says excitedly, pulling me gently towards the corner of the room. There's a small table next to a huge, plush recliner. I touch it and feel it rock easily under my fingertips. Stacked on the table are books on learning to knit as well as patterns for different projects. Pierce nudges me gently towards a chest on the ground. I kneel down and open it to see more knitting needles than most craft stores have. They range in sizes, lengths and some even have cords connecting them.
