It was actually his parents, but they were hardly ever there. The garden had statues of different sorts, some of cherubs, some of naked men and women, one was of a bear. then you had angels that stood tall and elegant in the middle of a large fountain, the fountain surrounded by bushes of colourful flowers, in fact there was nicely planted flowers arranged all over the garden, with neatly trimmed bushes with trellises of white roses with little white lights trailing around hanging along them. Tall floor lanterns dotted around the large lawn and a wooden summer house to the right of us with a bar inside and two bar staff serving drinks.

Angela sat and prepared for her usual meditation and as usual she tried not to concentrate on the sounds the environment created and focused on imagining the beautiful garden she always meet the goddess. In just few seconds, she felt everywhere silent and she felt the familiar feel of the goddess’ power surrounding her. She opened her eyes and indeed she is already in the garden and the goddess was right in front of her with her hair covering her face as usual. “Welcome”, the goddess said and Angela could sense a bit of excitement in her voice.

And suddenly…I knew exactly how I wanted to spend it. Me: I'm off today. Three dots appeared almost immediately. Angel: Come see me. I smiled. Me: Now? Is the Den even open this early? Angel: It opens when I say it does. A laugh escaped me. Arrogant bastard. Me: I'll be there soon. Angel: I'll be waiting, kitten. My stomach fluttered. The Angel's Den felt completely different during the day. Mostly because it was empty. No music. No masked strangers. No bartenders. Just the quiet elegance of black marble, burgundy furniture and gold. My heels echoed through the enormous room.

Casie: "Why your face is red as a tomato?" Sam gave me a look like I am going to kill you. Sam: "I can't believe I will be spending my day in the garden cleaning and watering." Casie: "As if you had better things to do anyway" I murmured Sam: "What did you say kiddo?" Casie:" Nothing important. We have reached the garden." We saw 2 angels who were watering the grass and have kept dried leaves on one side- Tammy and Dylan. Upon seeing us they greeted us and informed us that they have already cleaned the dried leaves. Only watering plants and grass is left. We thanked them.

Mason whispered in her ear, when he saw she wasn't going to stop staring at the scene ahead of her anytime soon. As if coming out of a trance, she suddenly blinked and glanced at him, a sudden smile appearing on her face, accentuating her dimples.

Tatiana leaned down in front of Alison staring deep into her eyes unblinking for almost a minute of awkward silence. "Oh my god, you're so adooorable!" Tatiana leaped forward hugging Alison squeezing her as if she found an overly adorable puppy she couldn't resist. "We must keep her!" Tatiana beamed holding up Alison's face squishing their cheeks together. Everyone around the group began laughing. "Yes she's the newest addition to The Garden, Tatiana Devine meet Alison Bishop, Alison this is Tatiana." He then waived his hand towards Daphne. "And this is Daphne G-"

She put on her best smile and held her hand out in her direction. "Hi, I am Arabella. What's your name?" she queried cheerfully. The seconds passed by but her question never met with an answer nor did her hand with hers. The little girl was just watching something that was happening outside. Ara followed her line of gaze. She felt disheartened when she realized what she was staring so keenly at. There was a bunch of kids playing football in the garden. Tears pricked Ara's eyes as she turned to look at Angela. She also wanted to go out and play just like every other child. She was too small, too tiny, to fight through life. Why did God have to be this cruel with an angel like her?

It takes some time for my eyes to adjust to the blinding sunlight and when it finally clears, a paved path spreads out before me. The hedges are a vibrant green and flowers sprout from almost every corner. Angel’s trumpets in their soft white and carnations as they bloom a remarkable pink with white edges. It’s beautiful, and it’s fenced, so this is a private garden. It strikes me that Roman may not want me to be here but then I hear the thuds. It’s the sound of something being hit in rapid succession and panic takes my feet into the garden as I trace the sounds with my ears.
