Alpha Orion
It seemed they too wanted to put the pain and bloodshed in the past.
Orion's gaze shifted toward the far doors of the hall when he heard footsteps down the hallway.
"They're here," he said.
At his signal, the guards pulled the double doors open, and a couple of humans entered hesitantly—men and women—their bodies thin from malnutrition, eyes filled with a lifetime of fear and disbelief. Rey stood among them, her presence both bridge and shield.
Orion rose from his place at the head of the table, his cane in hand as he stepped closer, closing the distance.
