Out of Sight, Out of Mind

Out of Sight, Out of Mind

I opened my eyes and saw the knife held firmly in a hand just inches from me. Following the line of his arm, I saw the seventeen-year-old Ryan appear in front of me. His abdomen was wrapped in thick bandages. His eyes were bloodshot with fury. He stared at the thirty-year-old Ryan with a gaze that shifted from anger to disbelief and, finally, to utter despair. He gripped the sharp knife tightly. Blood dripped from his hand. It fell into my eyes and blurred into a brilliant poppy flower.

Eyes of Death

Eyes of Death

I nodded. "Your wish is my command, my Queen. I'll take my blindfold now," I warned everybody else, and touched the knot Sohan made before then began to unmake it. Folding it and putting it on my lap, I blinked, getting used to the light again. I heard lots of gasps, probably because most people here have never seen my eyes, they must be mesmerized.

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

COLD STEEL, BLEEDING HEARTS

“If you fall from here, there’s no ‘Undo’ button. You’ll die.” She met his gaze. Saw the fear—and saw the love that survived being deleted and forgotten. She touched his cheek. “I’ve spent my life following medical books, Julian,” she said softly. “For once, I’m going to do something not in the notes. We climb together.” They jumped. Maya grabbed the glowing thread for Chapter 61. It pulsed warm under her hand. Julian sailed beside her, helping her move chapter to chapter. Far below, the “Dark Master” appeared at last. From the shadows, a huge eye opened. It wasn’t human. It was a camera lens—cold and hard. The Eye of the Viewer, belonging to people who watched the story just to see it break

Every time I read a new book from this author, it becomes a new favorite. This was an amazing story and I loved all the mini stories in between. Nadia is my favorite Luna and Riley certainly redeemed himself and proved that he was a worthy mate and Alpha.

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

Lurking in the Dark - Book 2

The man who had stumbled into the whole drama as a bystander sat whimpering on the sidewalk and couldn't take his eyes off the bloody mass next to him. I didn't have this problem, on the contrary. While the cattle twitched one last time, I looked across the street at my suicidal partner. He stood with his legs apart and lowered his weapon. His chest rose and fell quickly under his breath. The pockmarked face was slightly red and a few strands of his brown hair stuck to his forehead in the sweaty sweat.

Shadow Bound

Shadow Bound

And then, everything goes black. **** The sun on my face stirs me awake. I sit up and stretch, rapidly blinking, trying to hurry my eyes to adjust to the light of a new day. I already know I got out of the chains last night. I can’t feel the metal clamp around my neck. I squeeze my eyes closed before I have a chance to look at my surroundings, not wanting to be caught off guard by what I may have done under the influence of the full moon. I lift my face towards the golden morning breeze and sniff the air cautiously. No scent of blood on or anywhere near me. Well, that’s a good sign.

In the Shadow of Lies

In the Shadow of Lies

Without looking back, I vanished into the snow. Andrew stood in the snow, staring in the direction I had gone. His hoarse voice drifted through the wind. "You won't abandon me, Eleanor." A month later, at a bar in Glaciercrest Pack, I sat by the window, sipping coffee as I admired the snowy landscape outside. The murmurs of travelers around me reached my ears. "Did you hear? Darkmoon Pack’s strongest warrior confessed to murdering his ex-father-in-law and was sentenced today." My fingers froze around my coffee cup.

The Cobra of Smoke - The Burden of Sight

The Cobra of Smoke - The Burden of Sight

The amber eyes seemed less mysterious now, more like a benevolent guardian watching over their new beginning. As they locked the apartment door behind them, Shantali felt a profound sense of satisfaction as the story reached its natural conclusion. Not the desperate need for more chapters, but the peaceful certainty that this particular tale had found its proper ending. Tomorrow, she would help Maria navigate her own crossroads. Next week, they would begin their new life together in earnest. Someday her novel would find its way to someone else who needed to read about choosing love over fear. But tonight, walking hand in hand with David through the autumn streets toward their shared future,
