Ryder stood up and kicked the old man without hesitation with full knowledge that the old man was just a citizen. The ax dropped and Zed winced in pain, holding his hands together to try to slow down the bleeding. People started to gather around and one of them helped the old man stand while he was yelling at them, revealing that Ryder and Zed were actually outsiders. The men responded to his call and formed a ring around them, ready to pulverize them.
