Alpha king's lost mate: eternal mate

Alpha king's lost mate: eternal mate

She carried a silver chalice filled with moonwater blessed under the last full moon. “Brothers and sisters,” she called, her voice carrying across the grounds. “We gather under the moon to honor endings and beginnings. To release what no longer serves us and welcome what is to come.” The crowd answered in unison, “Blessed be the Moon Goddess.” I joined automatically, though my attention drifted as I scanned the crowd once more, searching for Clara. The High Priestess continued, calling for offerings to be brought forward. Pack members lined up to place gifts around the unlit bonfire, flowers for love, stones for strength, herbs for healing and protection.

Indian Queen Of Roman Crown

Indian Queen Of Roman Crown

If possible, even these flames wouldn't have existed in the first place because it was offering done to Lord of Darkness, Erebus. Within high walls, around hundred men and women were gathered to offer their God and Goddess in order to please them. Dressed in black charcoal cloak, blood of ' offerings ' was sprawled on their forehead and as morbid it sounded, they were here with only one mission and that was to take blessings. Celebrations were supposed to be cheery but oh the irony! Only grave expressions were to be seen. It was gothic with blood splashed around. Around thirty dark animals like swift horses, pregnant sows were offered to Gods of underworld.

FIRE & ICE

FIRE & ICE

I moved closer and knelt beside them, folding my hands, bowing my head. The flickering flame of the lamp danced before the small deities—Lakshmi, Ganesh, Shiva—each idol carefully placed, adorned with marigold garlands and tiny offerings. A bronze bell sat by the incense holder, and a brass thali shimmered with kumkum, haldi, and rice grains. Karina glanced at me from the corner of her eye, her expression softening into something unspoken—love, maybe. Or pride. She reached forward and gently offered me a pinch of flower petals to place at the feet of the gods.

A Gift from the Goddess

A Gift from the Goddess

“It doesn’t look like there’s space here to seat a whole town.” “Traditionally, we perform most rituals outside,” she said. “When the moon is at its highest in the sky, looking down upon us, that is the point in which we are most connected to our Great Mother. We have a sacred spot in the woods where we go for those occasions. But this is just a temple. Somewhere we come to be surrounded by her life force during the day.” Well, that explained that. I suppose it made sense when she was literally referred to as a ‘Moon’ Goddess.

Hey I thought I'd let you know that there's a very similar story on here that is similar to yours and that it's called ROGUE LOVELOCK: The Storm Lycan, the characters are under different names but very similar to synopsis. I'm looking forward to seeing your book through to the end and thank you for.

The Accidental Werewolf

The Accidental Werewolf

Maya asks. “No,” my father answers for me. “As long as he’s back for the ceremony tonight.” “What ceremony?” “Our yearly offering to the Moon Goddess,” Jolie answers, an ugly smile on her face. “You should like it – it’s a blood offering.” Maya says nothing for a while, just stares at my sister, her face passive. “Should be interesting,” she remarks dryly.

I had a hard time liking the FL's sarcasm/strong opinions in the first chapters, but she grew on me as I continued reading. The writing is good, and so are the descriptions. Hardly any grammatical errors, and the pacing is fine. Great job author!

Is this book done? I hope there is more, it’s a great book!! I know I shouldn’t but I kind of feel bad that abbadon died. I can’t say he’s a good guy for sure but I kind of feel sorry for him in a way. He did seem to love her in his own way

She Was The Queen

She Was The Queen

Walter must've told him what I had been thinking. That would be nice, wouldn't it? "I owe them all that much. I can't." "The offer remains," he said sternly. I moved to the blinds, pulled on the string and they went up. A small patch of sun opened up in the clouds. I could feel Her. "The Sun goddess who created us is evident in our eyes. She lives within us; she gives us life. I pray to her and she saves me. Yaga answers prayers... most of the time." The ecstasy of her divinity overwhelmed me and I started praising.

"Oh no, I didn't mean to judge you, I'm sorry!" "Relax, I get it," she said with a gentle smile, her voice soothing as she sat in a chair and pointed at the sofa opposite her, inviting me to take a seat and talk to her. "It's normal, priestesses are supposed to have this pure image and blah blah blah," she said, her tone laced with a hint of amusement as she wriggled her wrists, the movement drawing attention to the intricate tattoos that adorned her arms.

Claimed by my Brother

Claimed by my Brother

Damien POV: The priestesses were doing their nightly prayers to the Moon Goddess when I arrived. They bowed to me in greeting and I bowed back in respect. "Offering for the Moon Goddess?" Asked a young maiden, she was dressed identical to the rest of them, all in white dresses that covered one shoulder and flowed down them like water. They all looked ethereal, some believe it is a gift they receive for choosing to devote their lives to the Moon Goddess. I reached into my pocket and pulled out a silver medallion. It was a Moon coin and the only thing ever accepted in the temple. You couldn't do anything with it but it was thought to have magical qualities or even grant wishes. I would wish fo

Fated To The Lycan Beast

I said. She pouted for a split second, then her smile clicked into place. The show must go on. Priestess Olga arrived. Her presence commanded a certain reverence. She carried a basket filled with herbs and wooden tokens. "Luna Maya," her voice resonated excitedly. Maya grinned and offered her other hand. Olga approached, offering a bundle of holy herbs. "May these plants cleanse and protect you. May your wisdom guide this pack. May your grace bring peace." She then took a small clay cup, dipped her fingers into it, and sprinkled the water toward Maya.

Healing The Rogue Alpha

Healing The Rogue Alpha

This was the best I could work with. I added a small piece of bark from the willow tree into the leaf to keep it secure and then I went into the water, holding out the offering to the sky. “Goddess Artemis! Great Goddess of the hunt, of the forest and of the Moon.” I looked at the crescent moon in the sky as I spoke loud and clear. “Hear our prayer, Great Goddess. I offer you this sacrifice to call forth your power and your mercy. Bless us with your presence.”

I stumbled upon 'Oya: In Praise of an African Goddess' while digging deeper into mythology beyond the usual Greek or Norse pantheons, and it was such a refreshing dive. The book doesn’t just recount tales; it immerses you in the cultural heartbeat of Oya’s worship—her storms, her fierceness, her role as a guardian of change. The author weaves folklore with historical context, making her feel alive, not just a distant myth. I especially loved how it contrasts her with more ‘tamed’ goddesses in Western traditions—Oya isn’t just a symbol; she’s a force. If you’re tired of the same old mythological retellings and crave something raw and vibrant, this is a gem.

What really stuck with me was the way the book connects Oya’s narratives to modern resilience. There’s a chapter linking her tempestuous energy to contemporary movements, which felt unexpectedly powerful. It’s not a dry academic read, either—the prose has rhythm, almost like oral storytelling. My only gripe? I wish it included more art or poetry inspired by her, but the depth of research more than compensates. For anyone curious about African spirituality or strong female deities, this is a must-read—it’s like discovering a whole new dimension of myth.
