“What’s up, Fizz?” I replied, standing up on my feet and putting my paperwork to the side. Fizz was my right-hand man – the brother that I could rely on no matter what, to get me through every situation. He was Pakistani, with pale eyes, a rugged beard, and a strong, well-built frame. We’d known each other since we were kids, and we did everything together. We weren’t related by blood, but he was the only man out of everybody who worked for me who I could call my own family, and would trust with my own life. His name was Faizan, but we all called him Fizz.

“Look at him. He’s so happy!” They were both watching Frodo who had joined his fingers together, flipped his palms forward, and stretched his arms before cracking his own neck. “D’accord, mon amour. Let’s be Q.” He looked around when the others seemed confused. “Zee zmart one wiz all zee gadgetz in Jamez Bond, ne?” The group laughed. It seemed Gresso’s computer whiz had charmed everyone. Even Z who was usually stingy with his snacks except with Yrah, offered him some of his potato crisps.

“But if you wanted to go out, I will help.” Cassius lowered his eyes and nodded his head. He can see that Zion truly cares for him and that fact made him feel more guilty. Zion held the doorknob and twisted it open. As soon as he pushed the door open, the smell of the air conditioner mixed with fragrant of orange reached Cassius’ nose. It made him dizzy. It is not the orange scent that made Cassius a bit dizzy but the fact that he’s going to meet Finn, right there and right now.

I shrugged and looked at Xandry who already in front of one of the grill stand to chat with Finley. I closed my mouth and swallowed down the lump forming in my throat. I couldn’t think of Xandry’s full red lips kissing my best friend. My frown deepened when I noticed at the corner of my eye who was walking toward Xandry offering him a tong. Xandry smiled at her and muttered something causing Jasmine to flirty smile back. “Damn if he isn’t the hottest-sweetest-wetness inducing man I’ve ever seen,” Olive declared. “And damn if I don’t need a wetness protection program starting today.” Charlie was laughing with Olive made me snort.

The back office at the Red Velvet was dim, smelling faintly of liquor and old smoke. A single overhead light buzzed above. A worn couch sat against the wall, cluttered with empty beer bottles and cigarette ash. Ozzy was slouched on it, scrolling through his phone, feet kicked up on the table like he owned the place. Riko stepped in first, followed by Luis, who shut the door behind them. Ozzy grinned. “What’s up, boys? You here to drink or count bodies?”

The air was filled with laughter, a melody that blended seamlessly with the rustling leaves and distant bird songs.

I decide to put on Stranger Things for now. "Okay my loves I've ordered 20 pizzas, 10 orders of wings and 6 orders of fries. We have drinks here. It should be here in a hour" he finishes telling us. "Thank fuck" Azriel says as he walks into the room with little Mei Mei right behind him. Both of them look like they had a wild night. Azriel pulls her to him and both of them drop into one of the big chairs. The next to come in were Saxon and Tina, both in similar condition of the other couple.
