Pachinko Machine Novels & Stories

Clasping my hands together, I turned slowly in place and took in the vibrant life of the park, the rides spinning in circles, kids squealing in delight, couples holding hands, families walking arm in arm. It was loud and bright and filled with energy. But in the middle of it all, I felt a strange sort of quiet. Still, I kept walking, letting the crowd flow around me. That’s when I spotted a row of gaming machines. One in particular caught my eye—a claw machine stacked with plush toys. In the center was a beautiful stuffed bunny in a pale pink dress, its ears floppy and adorable. I approached the machine, eyes locked on that one doll. I dug into my pocket, inserted some coins, and tried.

After a while, I went in his direction. “Where are we next?” he asked. I have my second itinerary which is the place where the arcade games are located. “Follow me!” I began walking and he’s at my back following me. It’s not that far the reason we reached it immediately. We get inside of the Quantum. It is one of the amusement arcades here in the Philippines. It also offers various types of games. We headed to the end part where big noises came from. It’s a karaoke machine where you can sing any music you want.

’ We went to the counter and he bought a coin like, I believe they call a token, then we start to seek for a machine we can play. We stopped at—what do ya call it? The one with a hand-like (crane) thingy and stuff toys inside. I believe that you need to control that hand-like thingy using the red lever, to get the stuffed toy that is inside the machine. What does it call? Ah yes, it is vending machine. (*Claw Machine) “Let's challenge. The first person to get that stuffed toy inside, will be the winner, and obviously the last will be the loser” he said while smiling confidently as if he can defeat me. Argh!

“You’re going down, mechanic boy.” Inside, the place smelled like pizza grease, sugar, popcorn and chaos. Machines beeped and flashed in every direction, a rainbow of buttons and noises. It was a beautiful sight. Lights flashed everywhere—red, blue, green, and purple—reflecting off the glass screens and the polished wood of the cabinets. The noise level was over the roof with the clanking of pinball machines, the booming bass of a racing game, the music of an old Pac-Man machine, and the scattered shouts of victory and defeat. It was the furthest thing from the silence of my life, and I loved it immediately.

One cue stick was lying awkwardly on the table, while the others were stacked in a corner beside an unopened crate labeled "imported -Monte Carlo collection," Beside the snooker section, someone had set up a faux poker table with mismatched chairs and a half unrolled red carpet leading to it. A roulette wheel sat lopsided on a stand, its golden spinner still wrapped in plastic. There was even a fake money machine tucked against the wall-probably for that dramatic "raining cash" effect. Right now, it just blinked with a red error light.

While it was normal for most young people to hang out and have fun after school, Asher’s trip with Elaine felt like bringing a restless child for her first sightseeing. Asher kept his eyes on Elaine who kept drifting apart from him and began touching random stuffs inside the arcade the two of them visited. “Asher, what’s this?” Elaine inquired excitedly, pointing at the crane machine with stuffed animals as the prize. Asher snickered and shook his head before stepping towards Elaine. “This is called crane game. It lets you keep any prize you get from that pile.” He pointed at the colorful and cute stuffed animals which were scattered inside the closed space of the machine.

he declared, his voice resonating with a mix of confidence and anticipation. Georgina found herself entranced by the scene unfolding before her. It was her first encounter with the game of Poker, and she couldn't help but be captivated by the meticulous arrangement of the table. The dealer expertly positioned the cards, ensuring every detail was in place. A small sign caught her eye, bearing the words "Table minimum bet: five thousand euros." It was a stark reminder of the high stakes involved in this game.

The green one on the left side of the machine caught his eye. “Okay, this one is kind of a scam,” he explained to Nocturne who was watching with keen interest. “You have to get this claw to hook onto the prize you want and bring it over to the chute over here. When it’s in, it will drop out this door here.” “That sounds simple enough, why is it a scam?” Leo put some coins into the machine and started maneuvering the claw. He moved it into place above the green toy he wanted and let it drop down. The claw picked up the toy for a millisecond and dropped it back down.

Blake went straight to the top floor through the special passage, took a bottle of liquor from the shelf, opened it, and drank it. Holding a square glass, he looked up and saw a doll machine placed in the corner. One of them that had been placed here earlier had fallen to ashes at his home. It seemed that Mo Feitong had also moved another one up. Blake put the glass on the shelf next to him, where there was a pot of coins. He reached out to grab them and stuffed them into the machine. There was a tinkling sound. He pressed his fingers on the button and shook the operation lever with the other hand, watching the claw falling toward a little yellow chicken.

We laughed, thinking that it might be true. We finished fitting and we decided to go to the Game House found on the ground floor. As I've said in the clue, it's full of game machines and such that are for amusement. The Game House is so wide and has so many people already. Well not only children but also adults who are trying to go back to their roots. We proudly belong to that! Our favorite machine is the toy catching. Sera told me that she will be buying the tokens while I should wait in front of the toy catching machines. I was busy looking at the cute toys while someone bumped on me, making me move on to the right side a bit. My eyes grew bigger when I saw Patry and his friends. His frie
