Tears filled my eyes i'mmediately while my ears rung piercely in my head. I absentmindedly wondered whether my nose wasn't broken.. it sure hurt like hell. I reeled back but then before I could gather myself, bright lights all of the sudden flashed in my vision only for a second then a white cloth was slapped on my face. It blocked off my nose, mouth and eyes.

I must have drifted off to sleep because I woke up to my ears popping loudly. "God, that hurt," I groan, holding my palm against my ears, trying to bring pounding to a halt.

And placing my hand on his chest before rubbing it. After we sit in our seats for another hour or so without any trouble, the flight attendant stands up with a self-righteous look on her face and says in a matter-of-fact tone, “We will be landing in about 3 minutes. As you can tell, we are already slowing and descending for the landing. That popping that you may feel in your ears is the difference in air pressures. Just yawn and it will take care of any discomfort. As always, stay seated safely until the airplane comes to a complete stop and the green light lights up before us.”

I take a deep breath as I know my story isn't as horrible as theirs but still burns a hole into my heart every time I think of it. ******** *POP! * I jump in fear when an ear-splitting pop sound interrupts my sleep. I am still looking around my massive pink bedroom trying to figure out from where the sound came when another is heard. Out of fear I jump out of bed only for my feet to land in a lot of pink balloons. The pop sounds continue and in fear that they may begin sounds, I grab my stuffed bunny, cover my ears and begin screaming as I exit my room.

They gradually increased. My whole body shivered the moment that the wind blew up. An ear-splitting sound suddenly filled my ear and I can almost feel my eardrum breaking. My throat started to hurt as if it is being scratched by a rough paper or being cut by a cat's claws. I placed my hand on my neck as I fell onto my knees. That scream was mine. That was the reason why my throat was hurting. My head was throbbing like crazy. It's as if someone is pounding my head with a hammer.

Zoe groaned and packed a punch right on her nose. The impact was so severe on Dale that her head fell backwards and the ready of her body on a swing. Her eyes poured out tears on their own accord, sharp pains kept on occuring on a repeat and Dale returned each with a loud pant. Her nose went numb and burning so she opted for her mouth so as to breath. She then knew she was bleeding as blood began rolling in her mouth from her nostrils.

I inhaled deeply through my nose, trying to calm myself the way my mom had taught me. Count to three, I thought, holding my breath. One…Two…Three.... I rolled across the bed as the boat was suddenly thrown to the side, my head cracking against the wall. My ears were ringing, and I had nearly bitten through my lip. I rolled back over, clutching the side of my head and closing my eyes, groaning in pain.

" But in this case, it's psychological, or a flu. I tested my pathways areas, in fact my nose seemed heavy and slightly clogged. When I tried to sniffle, I felt such a deep pain that I got dizzy. I took one hand to my nose, touching lightly. The entire side was covered by an even firmer bandage than the one on the neck. I remembered the snap I heard when I received a punch from that hooded man, and I squeezed my eyes, both in understanding and to try to move the sound and image away from my mind.

Earis The sharp scent of rosemary hit me like a punch in the gut. My eyes opened immediately, and a loud ringing tore through my head as the light shone so bright it almost blinded me. Everything was too much. I could feel my own blood coursing through my veins, and I heard my heart thumping in my chest. I heard the silent sound of the AC humming like I was standing next to it. My skin almost froze from the cold of the AC. I pulled my hands over my ears trying to shut the noise out.

"And I can already tell you're going to be enthusiastic. You're practically vibrating with eagerness." He was right. Ethan was nervous but desperately curious. "Now. There are some practical things you need to know. First, breathing. You'll need to breathe through your nose because your mouth will be occupied. Practice that now. Close your mouth, breathe normally through your nose." Ethan did, feeling ridiculous. "Good. Second, your gag reflex. Everyone has one. We'll work on controlling it, but for tonight, we won't push too deep. You'll learn to take more over time. Third, jaw fatigue. Your jaw will get tired. That's normal. We'll take breaks."
