I continued, looking at him in anticipation. I had no idea if he was even moved by my apology because of his unreadable expression. Parker finally cleared his throat and began. “I didn’t think you’d even apologize anymore. But I’m glad you did.” He straightened his tie and stared at me. “I’m willing to forgive you, Ivy.” I let out a relieved sigh as I heard those words leave his mouth. I expected him to give me a hard time before accepting my apology. But I was wrong.

I gave her my back, crossing my arms in front of my chest like a child does when they’re upset. “I know…I know, I’m a bad friend. Perdona me, porfis! I won’t ever hide anything from you again, I promise.” She pleaded, placing a hand on my left shoulder. (Perdona me/Forgive me, porfis/short for please)

Leon was in front of Zara's ward. "Why did you come?" I asked in surprise. Leon looked at me with eyes full of regret. "I came to apologize, Ariane. Forgive me for hurting you before. I know I was wrong and I regret it." I was silent for a moment, not knowing how to respond. It felt like there were still too many wounds that had not healed from our past. However, seeing Leon's sincere expression, I finally said the words that I had been holding back for a long time, "I forgive you, Leon. I hope you can correct your mistakes and be better in the future.”

I leaned my head against the window and thought about how far we had come in the last few weeks after the 'incident' as Mom called it. I had convinced everyone to forgive Sam. I knew that he hadn't meant for any of this to happen and while I still didn't really like him, I was at least cordial with him. Scarlett had felt guilty for giving Sam my number those few times even though I and everyone else had repeatedly told her that it wasn't her fault. Thankfully, Foxy finally convinced her after about a week and Scarlett forgave herself. She and Foxy are taking things 'slow' but seem to be happy together.

Next morning they went straight to her mansion where he asked for her hand in marriage from her father who agreed happily. A lot had changed between Eleanor and James during the time she was away from Leon and in the hospital. James asked for her forgiveness, she saw her dad so vulnerable and broken that time making her heart broke. When she got her consciousness back, she saw the strongest and toughest man in the world breaking down in front of her and asking for her forgiveness. She was too numb and broken and seeing her father crumbling like that made her heart clench more so she forgave him. It was natural.
