Novel & Cerita Past My Bedtime

I try not to linger on it and switch on my iPad for some workout music. * * * I’m tired after my workout, meal, and hot bath yet I know I won’t be able to sleep. I’ve never been a good sleeper, not since childhood, as far as I can remember anyway. I have vivid dreams that make no sense, full of darkness and anxiety that leave me ravaged upon awakening. Working out before bed helps but doesn’t eradicate them and I’ve learned to live on the erratic, fretful sleep I do get. I still wish I could sleep like a normal person but I know that I may never lose the night terrors; my mind just can’t let go of the past no matter how hard I try to move on.

The guys were still happy and excited about the whole we won celebration. But still by eleven everyone was ready to go to bed, my rules say my bedtime is ten, but well it's already eleven jokes on you daddy, I think to myself with an evil smile. But in the end, I was tired and decided to go to sleep, well because I was tired and not because anyone made or because of any rules. "Want me to tuck you in?" Emilio asks, I blush but nod, I love when he does that.

"No," "Is it bad? "Not really, I will just tell you when you get back," "Okay baby," He said and yawned again. "Get some sleep Cross I will talk to you tomorrow, I love you," "I love you more," He said and went silent, a few moments later I could hear his snores, I let out a soft laugh and listened to him sleep for a few moments before I hung up, I laid on the bed willing myself to fall asleep without thinking, I needed to rest, I laid my hands on my tummy and apologized to my little one for all the stress I caused her today because of my stupid past, because of my past foolishness, I fell asleep to my baby moving with me...

Things that make us happy while they cost us nothing. It was two past midnight when I decided with a heavy heart to go back to my room. My soul wanted to stay out there a little longer, but my body was too tired to follow. I went into my room and realized how tired I was when I laid down on my bed and after a few minutes I fell asleep right away. Maximus' pov:

Bea was now tasked with sending a request to the Council but knowing them it would take months for a response or even a meeting. Her final text was her telling me she was headed to bed and she was excited for Tuesday. Damn how long have I been in this office. I glanced at the time on the computer and noticed it was already 10pm. I sent her a quick text responding Goodnight. When I got no response I could only pray she was sleeping.

What a liar! Mom kept going on and on about how she would be extremely busy next week. I was used to hearing her excuses and claims so I just listened quietly. I can't wait to get some sleep and I pray i wouldn't have a nightmare since the criminal would be sleeping right next to my room. How long is few months? Can it be tomorrow?? Mom said a prayer and we all left for our various rooms. I entered my bedroom and met pineapple on his little bed sleeping. I had a bath and brushed my teeth before getting on the bed.

I wonder if I can still sleep at this rate. I decided to go to the kitchen and drink warm milk. My mom used to give me warm milk before bedtime when I was young, saying that it will make me sleep faster. This will be my last resort since I have already counted thousands of sheep a while ago. I went back to bed hoping I could sleep soon. I woke up in the morning feeling tired. I have to prepare for work and make myself busy. Friday is two days from now which means I have two days to wait for him. Or maybe he will be tired on Friday so I can see him the next day.

The farther we were apart, the safer I felt—who knew, maybe Nate have decided tonight was the night he would end things. I went to bed at ten, something I’d never done before. In the past, this hour had been perfect. Perfect for me to join Nate in his study, climb onto his lap, tug at his sleeves and convince him to stop working and to do something unspeakable with me instead. A shiver ran through me as my mind wandered again. “Don’t think about the past,” I warned myself. In the future, it would be another woman in Nate’s study and climb onto his lap. And it was none of mine business anymore.

I said. “That’s not good. You’re most likely going to wake up late.” She said with a shrug, but I knew she was right. It was way past midnight, and I was a very druggie sleeper when I slept late. I was going to have to go to bed now as well. “Okay, Audrey. I should go to bed too. I’ll see you in the morning if I don’t go out before you wake up.” I said and she simply nodded. She walked out of the kitchen, but even though I had told her I wanted to go to sleep as well, I couldn’t settle my mind enough to distract it with the thought of sleeping.
