Troubled Heart
It seemed I had to take things into my own paws.
Padding softly across the wooden floor, I nosed gently at Makayla’s leg. She startled slightly, glancing down with a soft smile.
“Hey, buddy,” she murmured, running her fingers through my fur.
I wagged my tail enthusiastically, sensing my opportunity, and gently grabbed a corner of her blanket between my teeth, tugging softly but insistently.
“What are you doing?” Makayla asked softly, confusion furrowing her brow.
She resisted my first tug, but I was determined. Growling playfully, I gave another small tug, stepping backward toward Lilac.
