A guard grabbed her hand and wrapped it behind her, not minding her status. "L-let go of me!" She yelled, trying to break free but it was as good as useless. Penelope struggled against the guard's grip, trying everything in her power to break free and help Liam. She could see him getting beaten and bloodied, and it only fueled her rage. Her mother was yelling at her to calm down, but Penelope was not in the right frame of mind to hear her. All she could focus on was the guard holding her back, taunting her. The child was present in the house during this violent act.” Penelope’s attorney, Diana, rose to respond. She was smaller than Thomas but had harder eyes. “Elder Francis, my client has been the primary caregiver for six years,” Diana said. “She’s successfully led a pack territory and developed groundbreaking training programs for female werewolves. The allegations against her are unproven accusations from a single witness.”

I'd pin 'em down by their ears so they could look me in the eyes while I bit their nose off," he explained. "Okay, Felix." Mrs Kendall nodded and rolled her eyes. Nobody would dare bully Felix. If you do me wrong, I will make you pay double." Ember's pretty face looked solemn as she glared at Penelope with an awe-inspiring aura emanating from her. "I'm not an easy target for bullies. Just because I didn't get angry before doesn't mean you can bully me." Penelope was stunned by Ember's slap. When Penelope came to her senses, Ember threw the evidence at her.

"If you want to survive here, stay out of trouble—especially with the BB girls and Zachary." "BB girls? Who’s Zachary?" Lowering her voice, Olivia explained, "Zachary is Harrington’s biggest bully. Douglas retorted. “What about her?” Donald looked at him with more contempt. “You said you wanted to marry. When are we expecting her?” Donald looked at him from head to toe and waltzed off. “I wonder what these women see in you. Bully” Douglas said after him. He didn’t hear it, otherwise, he would have returned with a retort.

And then she noticed the claw bruise on her face. "Looks like she got into a fight with someone and got clawed in the process." Elizabeth Odwolf whispered to her husband but Penelope heard. "It's.." she began. "Did you drag our son into one of your fights?" Quinlan's father burst out, looking angrier than he was before. "No, that is not true, sir." Penelope had an innocent facial expression as she defended herself. "Then where are you two coming from?" "What do you expect? She's very uncultured. Perhaps she got clawed by one of her customers and her wolf cannot help her heal." Quinlan's mother waved her hand away and then fanned herself with her hand fan.
