Percy And The Lightning Thief Novels & Stories

Small improvements came, but the nightmares continued. "I found something," Lyra announced one evening, carrying an ancient book from the archives. "A journal from two hundred years ago. A storm-wolf named Marcus Thunderstrike. He had the same problem—power manifesting too young." "What did he do?" Cassian asked desperately. "He learned to dance with it instead of fighting it." She showed him sketches of movement patterns, flowing forms that looked almost like martial arts. "He said the lightning wasn't the enemy. Fear of the lightning was."

"Give me one chance! I'll love you right this time!" His hand reached for my belly. His eyes turned dark and twisted. "These children... Children of the lightning bloodline! They should be mine! Those should be my heirs!" Before he finished, the earth shook. A blinding bolt of lightning struck down. Cassius was blasted away, slamming hard into the temple's barrier. The sound of his bones snapping echoed loud and clear. Theron appeared from the lightning. He reeked of brutal murder. He pulled me tightly into his arms.

"Jaden, I have to go. Just... just think of something. We can't let Percy win." "I'll try, Rita. But this is a mess," Jaden responded, his voice laced with desperation. Rita ended the call and faced Percy, her gaze defiant despite her trembling. "You may have won this battle, Percy, but the war isn't over." Percy chuckled darkly, his eyes glinting with malice. "Oh, Rita, you underestimate my determination. You'll soon realize that there's no way out for you." Percy gloatingly revealed that she was the little girl who had saved Jaden, not Rita. She claimed that she had found Rita's necklace and used it to take Rita's place in Jaden's heart.

Lucas gritted his teeth. “What do you mean? Lord Evandor is the one who stopped and punished Theodore’s men who attacked your father and his wolves that day!” was Percy’s furious reply. “Hmm? You want me to believe that?” Lucas replied with an arrogant scoff. Percy couldn’t take mockery of the teenager about his lord. So, he moved towards him with anger to teach him a good lesson that his generations will remember. “You little…” Percy roared. Luke immediately hid Lucas behind him, ready to fight with Percy.

And even if Persephone tried to make them pawns in her big chessboard, the king of the opposing team will always find his way to win. “The lighting bolt...how did you? Did you steal that?” “Steal? Excuse me, but I am not like you. I was born and raised with manners.” “You make me sick. I should have stolen that ages ago, but I saw what happens to the demi-gods who waned to take it and---” “You were scared.” Zac took the liberty of finishing her words. “I was not, I was not ready. But after I offered your blood to that containment and your little sin-eater girlfriend for a snack, Grandfather Cronos will give it to me as a gift because I have been a nice and obedient grand daughter!”

Ilyria looked closer at the shimmering feather in Thassa’s hand. It was at once like water and like mist, pale and dark. She felt that if she looked at it long enough, it could transport her away, perhaps even to Zarmej. When she looked up, Thassa was watching her. “It is from the Lightning Bird,” he said, confirming her fear. “But you said it was from Vatra,” said Ilyria. He had made a mistake, surely?

I could never be responsible for his death. "We can fight together! Achilles has the blood of the last Lycan King and I have the blood of the demigod and hero, Hercules," Perseus explains. "If only an ancestral power can save you, then you're with the right people!" "Exactly! There must be some way of activating our inherited powers. They are currently dormant." Achilles sits down on the other side of me and takes my other hand. I’m hurting and their words just make it worse. I can almost taste the curse on the tip of my tongue. I'm relieved to hear of their powers and my resolve strengthens even more.

Percy took a deep breath and unleashed his world avatar. A two-meter-long sword appeared behind him which happened to be Percy's world avatar. At that moment, Percy seemed to be barely holding it up, but he still managed to force out another attack. With a shout, he shot forward like an arrow. The world avatar turned into pure energy as it merged with the sword in Percy's hand! Under everyone's widened eyes, he started to strike at the injured purple-feathered beast again!

The Lycan Enforcer~ ~Annabeth’s POV~ The air around me felt heavy, charged with a static electricity that made the fine hairs on my arms stand up. I looked at the Lycan Enforcer, Kael, and for a split second, I saw death. He wasn't just a man, he looked like a mountain of muscle, staring at me with the cold, calculating gaze of a predator who had found a new, interesting toy.
