My mouth gaped, turning to him slowly, praying I heard him wrong. “What?” “Yes, Athena. Kill Darius. You had killed his lover, you have made him suffer too, you made him move out of his territory. What more do you want to do?” He asked furiously in a low tone. Giving me countless reasons to end his breaths, to finish him but I knew I couldn’t do it at the moment.

I cried for him. "This is too much, Alpha Atlas... if they really want me to leave, then I will do it right this instant." Alpha Atlas gave me a wide smile before he collapsed on the ground. Everyone fell silence when I put his head on my lap. I saw a knife lying beside him and I slit my wrist in front of everyone. This time, I could not help but pity on his situation. "Why did you do that for?" Atlas asked as his voice is getting weaker. "Please drink my blood, you'll die if you do not swallow your pride."

Shanxi spat out, interrupting his father’s speech. “Yes, he was Selfish, hence his name. But what could we do about it. However, he was no fool.” Atlas shrugged helplessly. He didn’t mind Shanxi’s actions, and he never had. Slowly the two walked down the passageway, with Atlas speaking of his past. “And since I didn’t believe in his ways, he tried to kill me. And he almost succeeded. He pursued me all the way to the edge of Olympus itself, trapping me and almost definitely sealing my fate. Yet, at the last second, someone saved me.”

“Do you think—” This time I use Atlas’ training and figure out where her voice comes from. I lash out, grabbing hold of something that feels like hair and pull hard. She screams, and I grin right before she smacks me hard in the side of my face, and I roll across the ground to a stop in the darkness, tasting blood in my mouth. I cough it out, my shoulder burning, and I grit my teeth. I can’t die like this. Strong hands wrap around my throat, lifting me up off the ground. I see her blue eyes cutting through the shadows. “I am going to kill you, slowly, for each time you’ve touched my—”

I am so lost in my perverted thoughts that I never noticed Atlas come to stand next to me , he nudges me with his elbow . “You are practically drooling, man” He says with a hint of amusement in his voice . I just give him a side eye and a growl , he just puts his hands up in surrender and laughs . “Are you sure you want to take part in this hunt?” I ask without even looking away from my mate . “Sure, I mean the thought of her having a blackeye caused by that blood sucking mother fucker” He says in a low growly voice . “That being so , remember my mate and your’s are both blood suckers Atlas” He looks almost bashful as he nods and moves to stand with the others .

Lucian looked out across the trees “ Just thinking.” Athena stepped into view accidentally. Lucian’s eyes snapped towards her. Then, slowly, he leaned down and kissed Helena full on the mouth. Athena stood frozen, Helena smiled against his lips. Triumphant. Lucian pulled back, not looking at Helena, but at Athena. Athena turned and fled. —————— She couldn’t take it anymore. The moon had risen, and the halls were mostly quiet. Athena waited near the corridor for Lucian’s chambers, where she’d seen Helena disappear just an hour ago.

He said, with his gaze darting to the large clock on the wall, and I tried hard to believe his words. Shortly, we were told the elders had arrived, and we all gathered in a little room. They all had gloomy looks on their faces, and looked reluctant to say a word. “We've been waiting for ages. Could you at least tell us what's going on?” Tristan asked, and one after the other, their gazes came to rest on me. “Why are you all looking at Athena?” “According to the seer, she stepped into a place she ought not to, and saw what she ought not to. The seer says she awakened the three Alphas, who killed each other over a woman.” Finnigan narrated, and my heart skipped.

He simply walked out, clenching his jaw. ******************** Luna stepped onto the rooftop terrace, needing air. The night wind was cool, brushing against her skin. She found Atlas standing by the edge, a glass of something amber in his hand. He didn’t look at her when she spoke. “You planned all of this. The room and even the toys.” “I told you,” Atlas said. “I had a feeling she was mine.” “That doesn’t mean you own us.” He finally looked at her. “You think I don’t know that?”

The silence that followed was heavy and charged, and I couldn’t see any sign of Kaida attempting to fight back. The sharp, metallic scent of iron filled the air, cutting through the haze of tension. I watched, heart pounding, as blood pooled around Kaida’s neck, darkening the concrete beneath her. Atlas finally stood up, his expression grim. He tore his shirt from his body, using it to wipe away the blood that stained his face and chest. I approached him, my concern for his well-being battling with the gravity of what had just transpired. No matter what, Atlas had just ended the life of someone who was once one of his closest allies.

Pulling my brows into a frown, I stopped the bread at my lips and asked, “Atlas, come on. I'm not following. What games are you playing here? “You got a list to finish, don't you,” Atlas said, walking away from the bed. Victor! He told him everything. I didn't need to ask because I could see the darkness that had settled into Atlas's eyes. His gaze was clouded with hate and his body language told me he was bitter, very enraged. When Atlas casually shoved his hands into his pocket, I stared wide-eyed at him in disbelief and mumbled, "What? You want me to kill your remaining uncles, instead of reporting them to the police after finding out the truth."
