According to the other person, it was more than just a means of concluding the story because at some point the other person will return to the place where they used to live and will wonder what might have been. You should not expect two people who have just finished a story to have the same point of view on the matter. Both of them are moving forward in their own ways. The other person makes the decision to abandon everything. The other individual is simply present, stranded, lost, and in search of hope.

I whisper to the book before flipping through the pages and stopping on one suddenly. I begin reading the passage out loud. “Oh, my dear, sometimes we look at a situation one way when we truly need to look at it in another way. Try looking from a different point of view or multiple points of view. The amount of common answers will be your answer for this situation.” This could work for so many things. Such simple information, yet it is profound coming from a dead woman. “Thanks again, Mom,” I whisper to the journal before locking it back away in my safe.

Samuel didn't speak with any kind of condescension. Inside the car, Yvonne let out a quiet chuckle and shook her head. "The one not being appreciated might not be Mr. Gill. "Everyone can only see things from where they're standing. That's the limit of perspective. No one side gets to define the whole story. And when two people are tangled like that, timing and fate decide everything. If it's not meant to be, it just isn't." Samuel raised an eyebrow. "Sorry, I misspoke."

Before he could respond, I closed the door. The silence that followed was loud. Kael let out a low whistle. “You just declared independence.” “No,” I said, turning back to them. “I drew a boundary.” Kaden studied me for a long moment. “That was not accidental.” I shook my head. “No.” The hum pulsed once, slow and deliberate. Something inside me had shifted. Not power. Perspective. “They want to control the story,” I said. “That is what this is about. If they can make me a problem, they can justify any solution.”

“Fine. I’ll tell you everything. I don’t think I can deal with it by myself.” Slowly I narrated everything I had kept from them, in detail. Except for a few gasps & frowns, nothing came from the other side until I had finished my narrative. Wei Wei was the first to reply, “Laia, before we tell share our opinion, I think I should say something.” “I’m listening.” “Reasonably, anyone would find it very hard to take your side, but since this is your story, we have to look it from your perspective. So what’s more important here is your feelings.”

This whole book will be from my point of view. The second half is where the real story happens. I'm essentially saying that the first half is just a way to get to know me and the people closest to me. Meanwhile, the second half will be telling my story.
